• Own and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting • Maintain full ownership of the general ledger, financial statements, and all underlying accounting processes • Serve as the internal expert on US GAAP and technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 • Review customer contracts and establish appropriate accounting treatment and documentation • Lead the annual audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors • Coordinate with external advisors on tax filings and compliance matters across jurisdictions • Establish and maintain scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Oversee billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets to ensure accuracy and operational discipline • Own NetSuite as the core accounting system, driving optimization, data integrity, and process automation • Implement new accounting standards and ensure ongoing compliance • Build and document SOPs, strengthen processes, and continuously improve efficiency and reporting quality • Partner closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support growth, new products, and evolving business models • Hire, develop, and manage the accounting team over time.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close for global organization • Responsible for all deferred revenue calculations and revenue policies surrounding software and services – requires a firm understanding of ASC606 • Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting documentation • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Manage accounting policies and ensure compliance with GAAP • Maintain strong internal controls and improve processes to reduce risk and increase efficiency • Drive special projects which may require technical accounting skills and the ability to effectively utilize Excel, SharePoint and NetSuite • Manage global accounting staff and outsourced professionals • Lead annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting updates • Track and report KPIs, including revenue, margins, and cash flow • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance • Manage company cash flow planning, including: cash flow forecasting, collections of accounts receivable and payment of accounts payable in a timely manner • Support banking relationships, credit facilities, and payment systems • Oversee payroll processing through BambooHR and Trax ensuring accuracy and compliance • Ensure compliance with payroll taxes and related filings • Manage annual audit with a high level of interaction for the external accountants to meet deliverables as specified by the Board of Directors • Coordinate tax preparation and filings with external audit firm

Role Overview: EZ Texting is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function in a complex, multi-entity SaaS environment. This role owns the integrity of the financial statements, oversees a highly transactional revenue model and ensures scalable, GAAP compliant processes that support continued growth The Controller with operate as a hands on leader, managing outsourced resources, strengthening controls and driving operational rigor across systems and reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, experience in evolving organizational structures and the ability to execute with precision in a fast moving PLG business. EZ Texting operates at a high volume, transactional, product-led growth revenue model serving over 25k active customers. Success in this role requires experience managing revenue at scale, where automation, segmentation, lifecycle orchestration and data driven prioritization matter more than bespoke, one-off deal making. Requirements: Qualifications 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities. Required CPA designation Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 in a SaaS environment Experience operating in a multi-entity structure and supporting consolidated reporting Demonstrated experience integrating acquired or newly formed entities into an existing accounting and ERP environment Experience with post close financial integration activities Experience supporting or leading migrations from internally built billing or revenue systems to third party platforms. Strong understanding of payment processing, settlement flows, fees, refunds and chargebacks in a high volume environment. Deep hands on experience with Netsuite Experience managing or working closely with an outsourced accounting team Background in a high volume, highly transactional business model (PLG or similar) Preferred International accounting exposure Experience in B2B SaaS with SMB or self serve customer segments Prior experience operating in evolving organizational environments Demonstrated ability to apply AI or GPT based tools to streamline accounting workflows, accelerate analysis and reduce manual effort in a high volume environment. What We Offer Compensation: This role is eligible for the benefits & perks listed below. Depending on your location, the starting cash compensation range, inclusive of Base Salary + Variable Target, vs base salary only is: Tier 1 (Bay Area, NYC, SEA) : $163,146.20- $223,926.15 Tier 2 (LA, SD, BOS, ATX, DC, PHI) : $155,895.25- $206,012.06 Tier 3 (DAL, ATL, HOU, NSH, MIA, ALB): $145,018.84- $197,055.01 Tier 4 (Other): $126,891.49- $179,140.92 Our compensation market ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range provided reflects the target cash compensation for new hires in major metropolitan areas.
