Role Overview: EZ Texting is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function in a complex, multi-entity SaaS environment. This role owns the integrity of the financial statements, oversees a highly transactional revenue model and ensures scalable, GAAP compliant processes that support continued growth The Controller with operate as a hands on leader, managing outsourced resources, strengthening controls and driving operational rigor across systems and reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, experience in evolving organizational structures and the ability to execute with precision in a fast moving PLG business. EZ Texting operates at a high volume, transactional, product-led growth revenue model serving over 25k active customers. Success in this role requires experience managing revenue at scale, where automation, segmentation, lifecycle orchestration and data driven prioritization matter more than bespoke, one-off deal making. Requirements: Qualifications 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities. Required CPA designation Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 in a SaaS environment Experience operating in a multi-entity structure and supporting consolidated reporting Demonstrated experience integrating acquired or newly formed entities into an existing accounting and ERP environment Experience with post close financial integration activities Experience supporting or leading migrations from internally built billing or revenue systems to third party platforms. Strong understanding of payment processing, settlement flows, fees, refunds and chargebacks in a high volume environment. Deep hands on experience with Netsuite Experience managing or working closely with an outsourced accounting team Background in a high volume, highly transactional business model (PLG or similar) Preferred International accounting exposure Experience in B2B SaaS with SMB or self serve customer segments Prior experience operating in evolving organizational environments Demonstrated ability to apply AI or GPT based tools to streamline accounting workflows, accelerate analysis and reduce manual effort in a high volume environment. What We Offer Compensation: This role is eligible for the benefits & perks listed below. Depending on your location, the starting cash compensation range, inclusive of Base Salary + Variable Target, vs base salary only is: Tier 1 (Bay Area, NYC, SEA) : $163,146.20- $223,926.15 Tier 2 (LA, SD, BOS, ATX, DC, PHI) : $155,895.25- $206,012.06 Tier 3 (DAL, ATL, HOU, NSH, MIA, ALB): $145,018.84- $197,055.01 Tier 4 (Other): $126,891.49- $179,140.92 Our compensation market ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range provided reflects the target cash compensation for new hires in major metropolitan areas. • Build features like claimed domains to enable secure, automated provisioning and identity governance across large enterprises. • Design and implement a next-generation access control system — including role-based access control (RBAC), request/approval flows for admins, and tiered admin roles that scale with complex organizations. • Expose these capabilities through secure, developer-friendly public APIs, enabling enterprise admins to integrate provisioning, governance, and audit into their existing workflows. • Own full-stack product changes end to end from backend policy enforcement to admin-facing workflows to ensure these enterprise features are intuitive, reliable, and secure. • Propose and implement designs for well-architected, scalable systems in collaboration with the broader Hex team

• You will be the company’s most senior accounting leader and will partner closely with our Head of Finance to build a world-class function that can support a rapidly scaling SaaS business with IPO ambitions. • You’ll lead the month-end close, oversee financial reporting, manage audits, elevate controls and processes, and set the foundation for future ERP implementation. • In the first month, you'll develop a deep understanding of our current accounting stack, processes, month-end workflow, and reporting structure. • Take ownership of day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness from day one. • Assess existing internal controls, identify immediate improvements, and propose an initial roadmap. • Build strong relationships with Finance, People, Ops, and GTM teams to establish alignment and cross-functional workflows. • Within the first 3 months, fully own and run our month-end close process and ensure consistent, auditable financials. • Lead all key accounting functions, including revenue, AP, AR, payroll accounting, expense management, and reconciliations. • Develop and document scalable internal controls, accounting policies, and operational procedures. • Begin scoping requirements and timelines for a financial audit. • Within the first 6 months, implement and refine accounting processes that improve speed, accuracy, and compliance. • Evaluate and strengthen revenue recognition frameworks, ensuring alignment with SaaS best practices. • Lead the charge on legal entity, payroll, and tax considerations as RevenueCat continues to scale globally. • Start managing and mentoring junior accounting team members or external partners. • Within the first 12 months, deliver a fully documented, efficient, well-controlled accounting environment built for scale. • Initiate a full financial accounting audit with minimal disruption to the business. • Build the roadmap for IPO readiness.
