ScalableOS
• Lead the organization’s transformation from a VMware-based environment to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. • Responsible for the full migration lifecycle, optimization, and maintenance of Virtual Machines (VMs) running on OpenShift. • Provide deep expertise in virtualization, Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and enterprise infrastructure. • Assist with the design of Bare Metal OpenShift clusters optimized for virtualization. • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle from VMware to OpenShift. • Experience configuring Portworx as the storage provider on top of Pure Storage. • Manage VM-specific "Day 2" operations. • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform deep-dive root cause analysis. • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for critical infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering
- 2 to 4 years of experience Working directly with Kubernetes or OpenShift (MSP environment preferred)
- 1 to 3 years of experience Linux administration skills
- Certifications with Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator and Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Virtualization
- Availability to work Eastern Time (EST) business hours with occasional evenings/weekends as part of the on-call rotation.
