Accountant
Relay Commerce
• Own assigned portions of the monthly close across multiple entities • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations • Analyze account balances and proactively investigate discrepancies • Coordinate intercompany and cross-BU transactions • Ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and on schedule prior to Controller review • Identify opportunities to reduce close timelines and improve controls • Oversee bi-weekly expense recording and categorization across systems • Review expense coding for accuracy and consistency across BUs • Monitor trends and flag anomalies or policy issues proactively • Strengthen documentation and receipt compliance processes • Improve workflows between QuickBooks, Ramp, and other platforms • Maintain and update reporting dashboards, forecast models, and BU templates • Ensure data integrity between accounting system and reporting outputs • Support management and board reporting through accurate data compilation • Contribute variance explanations and reporting commentary as needed • Document processes and improve cross-functional data workflows
Job Requirements
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting or financial operations experience
- Strong month-end close experience, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Experience working in multi-entity or multi-business-unit environments
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling, reconciliation workflows)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines independently
- Clear written English communication for async collaboration
- Availability for 4–5 hours overlap with US Eastern Time

• Execute period-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and other relevant working papers • Partner with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate set up in Cresta’s AP platform • Manage vendor bills to ensure they are accounted, reviewed and paid for in accordance with relevant policies • Review customer contracts to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and proper application of ASC 606 for revenue recognition • Facilitate the adoption of new accounting policies and updates to existing policies • Prepare financial statements and other records in accordance with U.S. GAAP • Lead the optimization of existing processes and procedures within the accounting team • Facilitate payroll processing for the company and subsidiaries • Support cross-functional teams to optimize operating activities and facilitate strong information flow
• Own revenue accounting for B2B and B2C sales, including reviewing and in-depth analyses of enterprise contracts • Partner cross-functionally to ensure contract and data hygiene supporting revenue operations and accounting • Build and maintain revenue documentation and controls, supporting financial audit needs • Improve revenue-to-cash operations, including billing, invoicing, AR portals, collections cadence, and more • Own revenue-related month-end close processes such as reconciliations and flux analyses • Take on new technical accounting analyses and projects tied to evolving GTM motions and other complex accounting areas as we scale
