Role Description As a Sr. Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing precast concrete structures and components for a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from intricate interstate highway bridges to versatile residential, commercial, and manufacturing facilities. Additionally, we excel in creating architectural precast cladding systems, providing you with an array of fascinating design challenges. - Manage the engineering, submission, and project management of structural designs, encompassing reinforcing, connections, and transportation and erection calculations. - Review shop drawings and submittals and address any non-conformances or related issues. - Perform analysis and design of precast structures, components, and connections, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and specifications. - Proactively anticipate and address potential problems, developing solutions, and communicating directly with customers to reach mutually agreeable outcomes. - Efficiently manage the needs of all team members involved, including project managers, drafters, estimators, architects, engineers, contractors, and production personnel. - Collaborate with our sales group for promotion, design, specifications, installation, and issue resolution. - Assist sales and estimating departments through engineering efforts, while also offering support to production and operations in areas such as handling and lifting devices and prestressing equipment. - Actively support and adhere to the company's health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance programs. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a strong preference for a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis. - A minimum of 5-plus years of industry experience, including work in the design of precast concrete, reinforced concrete, and steel. Prestressed and/or precast concrete design experience strongly preferred. - Registration as a Professional Engineer and the ability to become registered in multiple states. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MathCAD, Concise, RISA-3D, or other precast concrete software. Experience with finite element analysis is considered a valuable asset. - Familiarity with IBC, ASCE7, ACI318, PCI, AISC, AWS building codes, and specifications. - Exceptional analytical, organizational, and proactive problem-solving skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, positive, and courteous manner in all interactions with customers and colleagues. - Ability to work effectively as a proactive team player and adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle unexpected events. - Ability to travel regularly to facilities in Salt Lake City, UT and Caldwell, ID. • Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable front-end applications using React • Translate product and design requirements into high-quality, responsive UI components • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend, QA) to define and deliver new features • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code • Implement best practices in performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design • Contribute to front-end architecture decisions and component library development • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives • Perform code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards • Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX bugs and production issues

• Build intuitive, unified interfaces for organizing, transferring, and governing assets across accounts and products • Design and implement BFF and API layers that feed multiple frontend surfaces, built to be componentized and reused consistently across Zapier's entire product expression • Embed AI technology into core product experiences to proactively surface account management insights and suggestions • Drive technical alignment with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization • Collaborate closely with Design and Product to balance polish with pace, and ship iterative solutions that move the business forward • Tackle challenges in data standards, compliance workflows, and cross-product integrations • Deliver fast-paced solutions and POCs, prioritizing impact while balancing short-term execution with long-term technical vision

• Design and lead implementation of a frontend and full-stack architectural solutions that guarantee extreme performance, scalability, observability for displaying Ads world wide. • Optimize “Core Web Vitals” metrics, driving significant, measurable improvements in critical user performance metrics (LCP, INP/FID, CLS) for ad rendering and display. • Provide Hands-On Technical Leadership. Serving as the senior technical authority, solving the most complex system challenges, proactively addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring the implementation of the highest coding standards. • Architect and oversee advanced monitoring (RUM and Synthetic) systems to track crucial metrics like reliability, viewability, and latency at massive scale, providing deep debugging insights for ad creation teams. • Establish and evangelize on technical standards, tooling, and deployment methodologies (A/B testing, Canary deployments) across teams, while providing technical mentorship to elevate the skills of other engineers in performance and architecture. • Work intensely with Ads Layouts teams (designers, graphic specialists) and core Bidding Platform backend teams to ensure architectural alignment and optimal data flow for performance.
