Staff Frontend Engineer – Web Performance Architect

RTB House

• Design and lead implementation of a frontend and full-stack architectural solutions that guarantee extreme performance, scalability, observability for displaying Ads world wide. • Optimize “Core Web Vitals” metrics, driving significant, measurable improvements in critical user performance metrics (LCP, INP/FID, CLS) for ad rendering and display. • Provide Hands-On Technical Leadership. Serving as the senior technical authority, solving the most complex system challenges, proactively addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring the implementation of the highest coding standards. • Architect and oversee advanced monitoring (RUM and Synthetic) systems to track crucial metrics like reliability, viewability, and latency at massive scale, providing deep debugging insights for ad creation teams. • Establish and evangelize on technical standards, tooling, and deployment methodologies (A/B testing, Canary deployments) across teams, while providing technical mentorship to elevate the skills of other engineers in performance and architecture. • Work intensely with Ads Layouts teams (designers, graphic specialists) and core Bidding Platform backend teams to ensure architectural alignment and optimal data flow for performance.

Job Requirements

  • 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, specialising in at least one area out of: Web Performance, RUM, Frontend Architectures, including at least 2-3 years spent in a Principal or Staff Engineer level (technical leadership path).
  • Architectural Expertise: Proven track record of designing, maintaining, and evolving scalable frontend and full-stack architectures for high-scale systems (millions of users/requests).
  • Web Performance Architect: Deep and practical expertise in optimizing Core Web Vitals and advanced loading techniques (caching strategies, Service Workers, Edge Computing/CDN utilization).
  • JavaScript/TypeScript Mastery: Expert proficiency in the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem and modern frameworks (e.g., React), including build tooling (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and optimization.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Proven strong analytical thinking and experience using Real User Monitoring (RUM) and synthetic tools to diagnose and solve complex performance issues.
