• Lead Generation: Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting - calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach. • Client Engagement: Engage with decision-makers in target companies to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and pain points, particularly related to ransomware threats. • Sales Support: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support and execute strategies for lead generation, campaigns, and outreach. • Pipeline Management: Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within our CRM system. • Educate & Qualify: Provide relevant information on our ransomware protection solutions and qualify leads to determine their potential fit for our services. • Nurturing: Follow up with leads and ensure consistent engagement until they are ready for a deeper conversation with an Account Executive or sales team. • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively.
Job Requirements
- Language Skills: Business level Arabic.
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus.
- Experience with CRM and Sales systems (Salesforce, Madkudu, Salesloft, Nooks, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, etc.).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.

Role Description The Development Officer, Southern Region will play a key role in securing philanthropic support for Capital B’s growth in the South. This role blends core development responsibilities with place-based fundraising that supports new and emerging expansion markets. - Partner closely with the development team, executive leadership, and local strategy/growth colleagues to identify funders aligned with Southern expansion priorities. - Move opportunities through the full fundraising cycle. - Ensure funder communications, reporting, and stewardship reflect Capital B’s voice, impact, and local relevance. - Manage multiple workstreams and build strong relationships with institutions and individuals. - Translate community needs and newsroom strategy into fundable opportunities. Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development, including direct experience with institutional fundraising (foundations and/or major donors). - Experience in place-based, community-centered, or journalism-aligned organizations is strongly preferred. - Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce compelling proposals, donor communications, reports, and briefing materials. - Experience with prospect research, pipeline management, and moves management, including fluency with CRM systems. - The ability to build trust with a range of stakeholders - foundation staff, major donors, journalists, community partners, and senior leaders. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you are building infrastructure, not maintaining it. - A genuine connection to Capital B's mission and an understanding of why journalism matters in Black communities and in our democracy.
