Role Description Provides strategic thought leadership for architectural and technical strategies, designs for solutions and implementation consultation for the Software Development team and the broader organization. Senior Specialist, Bariatric Process Improvement

• Support the Bariatric Surgery Department by collecting and submitting reliable data to the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Data Registry Platform. • Identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and ensure the ongoing evaluation of clinical outcomes for the department. • Establish effective working relationships with members of the hospital community. • Responsible for accurate and timely data entry into the Bariatric Program's database. • Collect follow-up data at 30 days, 6 months, one year and annually thereafter. • Develop educational materials and deliver presentations on the Bariatric Data Registry Platform.
• The Risk Adjustment Reporting Specialist supports SCMG's Risk Adjustment program by preparing, validating, and distributing reports from internal sources (e.g., EHR, claims, encounters/supplementals) and external vendor/health plan files. • The role centralizes report intake, quality checks, and distribution; partners with Coding Auditors and cross functional teams to prepare information for stakeholder action; and supports optimization of the EHR and any future risk adjustment platform. • This position assists the Program Manager of Risk Adjustment with coordination and execution of approved strategies across population health/HCC initiatives. • Own and execute the Alternate Submission Method (ASM) process for Risk Adjustment submissions, including file preparation, validation checks, error remediation, documentation/attestations, and submission tracking. • Maintain trackers and develop standard reports/dashboards (primarily in Excel; Power BI preferred in coordination with the Data Analytics team) for RAF trends, HCC suspect lists, coding close rates, chart retrieval/closure, and audit outcomes.

Role Description Under the direction of Department Manager, performs those duties directly involved in maintaining a cancer related data collection system. Meets/exceeds standards as set by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and the Cancer Reporting in California: Abstracting and Coding Procedures for Hospitals. - Supports Sharp HealthCare quality outcomes reporting, multidisciplinary cancer conferences and a variety of reports and studies required for Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation. Qualifications - Completion of training course for Tumor Registry. - Experience with medical records and tumor registry. - H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred). - Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) - National Cancer Registrars Association (Preferred). - High School Diploma or equivalent; or 5 years of related experience may substitute for High School Diploma or equivalent (Required). - Currently enrolled in or graduated from an NCRA accredited program. ODS must be obtained within one year of program completion (graduation from the NCRA accredited program) (Required). Role Description The Sr. Data Architect will be responsible for the implementation of an enterprise HDFS environment that will provide long-term support to Sharp HealthCare advanced analytics. Must have the ability to follow and/or develop a sustainable process for development and delivery of assignments and contribute ideas to the expansion of tools and technology. Understand and apply standards in coding and testing and able to determine project requirements and timelines based on functional specifications, client requirements and system design. This position will also assist in the adoption of agile work flow in some development projects; and support existing tools and adoption of standard strategic tools to support the enterprise data warehouse and analytics program. Essential Functions - Data architecture - Determines design and implementation strategy for large scale databases within Information Systems using accepted framework and tools. - Develops a strategic plan for the overall architecture of the Data Analytics platform including the data warehouse and other analytic databases as needed. - Provides oversight to architects and developers in the system architecture and design strategy for all new projects to ensure optimal system performance and throughput. - Designs and communicates physical data model to data base administration and other technical resources. - Optimizes or revises existing data models and/or ETLs to ensure optimal performance. - Approves all new logical and physical models created by developers or architects prior to submission to database administration for execution. - Responsibility for the design and implementation of logical, physical and operational models for all large projects. - Reviews model design for all new data sources to ensure that standards are followed. - Oversee implementation strategies and develop necessary models and ETL to leverage the data warehouse to meet strategic goals and opportunities. - Sets the standard and approach for resolution of data quality issues and ensure follow-through to correction. - Develop code - Analyzes, designs, programs, documents, and maintains computer application software and database files using standard programming conventions. - Interprets and translates functional specifications into efficient and effective code development. - Assists technical management in setting code standards to ensure efficient processing. - Develops process to moving towards a more Agile approach to code delivery within the Decision Support team. - Third tier support in determining effective means to solving a technical problem and developing a coding solution. - Performs code review using sound knowledge and judgment regarding IS principles and department specifications. - Documents file structures, programming constructs, installation and operating instruction and other technical features and project status of applications developed or installed by the department. - Exhibits structured programming methodology in code. - Uses standardized naming conventions in all code development. - Ensures that production delays do not occur due to negligence or failure to follow proper procedures. - Leadership - Demonstrates consistent leadership role with team and clients to promote customer satisfaction and team development. - Develops a mentoring program for all technical team members to grow technical skills and improve overall architectural knowledge. - Recommends and/or develops a training program designed to improve the overall effectiveness of the analytic technical team. - Supervises and performs annual review of data architects within the team. - Delivers effective communication that conveys priorities and sets appropriate internal and external expectations. - Provides leadership in the implementation of technical products and participates in all software and O/S upgrades. - Manages interactions with clients to ensure understanding, agreement and attainment of project goals. Communicates completion dates and delays proactively. - Trains new IS staff in system functions and operations in order to maximize user effectiveness and utilization of systems. - Regularly engages with other departments to understand system changes that may affect analytic applications. - Regularly keeps manager informed through activity reports monthly, or a frequency as established by the manager and requires minimal supervision. - Demonstrates ability to independently perform other departmental tasks not specific to data architecture. - Sets standards for technical management of data quality improvement processes and offers suggestions to improve customer satisfaction, departmental service levels and productivity. - Project management - Demonstrates consistent and effective application of Project Management techniques. - Creates and maintains a matrix of all technology initiatives such that projects are completed on time and within resource constraints. - Communicates in a timely fashion both to the requestor and management when project schedules may not be met. - Provides executable alternative solutions to work around resource constraints. - Analyzes department and client needs to develop a workable training plan and executes training plan appropriately. - Determines and plans for appropriate project task support and task communication. - Develops resource allocation and scheduling requirements using knowledge of company and IS Guiding Principles. - Working with project managers and analysts, determines an accurate scope, definition, and charter for the project. - Uses knowledge of IS standards and proactive thinking to determine technical specifications per IS standards. - Performs comprehensive risk identification. - Ensures adequate communication of project related issues. - Establishes and completes project documentation requirements in a timely manner. - System configuration and testing - Configures, develops, plans and executes to ensure optimum system performance. - Creates and maintains system related documentation such that features and procedures are well documented and communicated. Documentation is kept up to date and allows for the continuation of functions by all technical team members. - Develops process for capacity planning and engages appropriate technical resources throughout the enterprise in effective management of all analytic environments. - Design and implement best practice backup and recovery strategies for analytic platforms. - Design, test and implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity of analytic platforms. - Develop process for the ongoing process of performance tuning of analytic environments, ETL code and scripts. - Ensures the appropriate use of test environments and version control software. - Performs all levels of testing in a timely and accurate manner. - Performs environment synchronization as required in a timely and accurate manner. - Ensures that testing demonstrates adequate understanding of the following: standard functionality; client workflow; tables/dictionaries; screen design; system options; rules. - Ensures that production delays do not occur due to negligence or failure to following proper procedures. - Follows and maintains change management procedures. - Technology review - Technical expertise to select, design and/or implement solutions to meet business needs. - Develops and maintains an extraordinarily high level of knowledge and skillset in information technologies applicable to analytics. - Seeks out new technologies and products to enhance the Sharp HealthCare analytic environment. - Extremely flexible in recommending the appropriate solutions to meet Sharp's needs, regardless of vendor. - Assumes the lead role to all Sharp leadership in the review of analytic products, and is responsible for providing a technical analysis of the proposed system's fit into Sharp's infrastructure. - Will manage and teach other technical resources in the implementation of selected technologies. - Analyzes user needs/requirements in conjunction with business intelligence analysts to design stable and highly effective systems. - Develops a comprehensive analysis of pros/cons and implications of proposed solutions. - Demonstrates strategic and forward thinking by conducting thorough analyses of downstream and upstream impact of issues and proposed solutions. - Strong communication and interview skills are utilized to elicit client requirements.
