Senior IT Service Architect, German – Workplace

• Analyse and understand customer requirements, including RfPs, and translate them into complete, end‑to‑end service and solution designs • Develop efficient, innovative, and low-risk solutions for IT managed services tenders covering technological, operational, and commercial dimensions • Prepare cost calculations, service models, and effort estimations for proposed solutions • Present and explain service designs to customers at decision‑making level and support contract negotiations with confidence and expertise • Design solutions in close collaboration with sales teams, partners, and service units to ensure cohesive, high‑quality outcomes and contribute to overall success • Support the creation of proposal content, including contributing to written proposal texts and preparing presentation materials as part of the bid process • Create documentation and requirements for Transition & Transformation and ensure seamless handover to delivery teams • Maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams to ensure goal‑oriented project progress and high‑quality proposal output

Job Requirements

  • Fluent in English and German (min. C1)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the workplace and remote service environment in IT managed services solution design
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Exchange, Active Directory/Azure AD, and client management
  • Experience in designing client virtualization or service desk solutions
  • Experience of pre-sales support, service design and transition project delivery
  • Experience with calculation and modelling of managed services/operations
  • Confident in using ITIL and project management standards (e.g., PMI, Prince2)
  • Strong communication skills, customer-oriented, and a team player
  • Willingness to occasional travel within Europe

Summary: The Engineer (Architect) provides architectural engineering support to DOJ/BOP facilities stakeholders by performing technical analyses, document reviews, and design support activities for facilities projects. This role develops recommendations, drafts technical inputs, and supports reviews of architectural deliverables to enable Government decision-making. The position is advisory and does not approve designs, certify compliance on behalf of the Government, or exercise Government authority.
