Sysadmin and DevOps Analyst (Mid-level) – Operations Gateway
Starian
• Implement and maintain Java Application Servers (WildFly + Linux) • Develop and maintain Shell scripts (bash), following best practices • Troubleshoot Linux systems and network infrastructures • Provide technical support to the Operations and Infrastructure Support teams • Standardize, document, and monitor solutions and configurations implemented in supported environments • Document analyses performed and technology choices • Keep records of incidents, nonconformities, and other situations • Act as the “bridge” between the Operations and Engineering teams • Recommend the creation and/or improvement of automations for infrastructure and applications • Support other members of the operations team in their technical development
Job Requirements
- Experience with deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Linux and networking
- Experience managing/configuring applications (Web and Java / WildFly)
- Knowledge of Git
- Basic concepts of database management/configuration (PostgreSQL)
- Basic concepts of virtualization, monitoring, security, and backup
- Concepts of APIs and the HTTP protocol
- Experience with firewalls is a plus
- Experience with reverse proxy is a plus
- Experience with containers is a plus
- Experience with automation is a plus
- Experience with Oracle Cloud or AWS is a plus
