Role Description We are looking for a Head of Broker Relations to own and scale Instnt’s broker-led distribution strategy. This is a hands-on, market-facing role for someone who understands how brokers actually sell, how specialty insurance markets operate, and how to turn relationships into repeatable revenue. You will be responsible for activating broker partnerships, educating the market on where Instnt fits, and shaping how opportunities flow through the channel. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will do the work, while also defining how this channel should evolve as it becomes a primary driver of growth. This is not a direct selling role. It is a broker activation and market influence role , with real impact on revenue and how Instnt scales. What You’ll Do - Own and execute Instnt’s broker partnership strategy, driving broker-sourced revenue as a meaningful and growing sales channel - Build deep, trusted relationships with brokers and distribution partners, serving as a go-to resource for education, deal positioning, and market insight - Help brokers understand where Instnt fits, how to position the product, and when to bring opportunities forward in a developing specialty market - Partner closely with Sales, Underwriting, and Insurance Operations to ensure a strong, predictable submission pipeline and smooth execution from introduction through bind - Navigate and leverage the broader insurance ecosystem, including engaging wholesale partners when appropriate to expand reach or unlock complex opportunities - Track broker engagement and performance, using CRM data and market feedback to prioritize relationships and inform strategy - Gather and synthesize broker feedback and market intelligence to support product evolution, positioning, and go-to-market decisions - Represent Instnt externally at industry events, conferences, and broker forums, building credibility and visibility for an emerging insurance platform Qualifications - You bring hands-on experience working with brokers in specialty insurance markets, and understand how complex or novel insurance products are positioned and sold - You are comfortable representing an emerging insurance platform externally, earning broker trust through clarity, responsiveness, and sound market judgment - You are execution-oriented and comfortable rolling up your sleeves, while also thinking strategically about how a broker channel should scale - You understand both retail and wholesale broker dynamics and know how to navigate the market to drive outcomes, not just maintain relationships - Experience working with or within an MGA environment is a strong plus, but not required - You thrive in startup environments where ownership is real, structure is built through action, and your work directly shapes the company’s trajectory
