Civil Site Engineer
Leidos
• Interacting with other electric utility disciplines • Leading and designing high voltage utility Civil Substation projects • Providing consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities • Collaborating with engineers, designers, and drafting technicians • Conducting land development permitting including NPDES and stormwater management • Researching additional site data through various sources • Performing site layout, grading, and drainage design • Conducting stormwater modeling and design • Performing erosion and sediment control design • Designing access roads and utility coordination • Designing retaining walls and documenting calculations • Preparing construction drawings and specifications • Conducting construction observation and field engineering • Coordinating with other design disciplines, project managers, and field personnel
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 0+ years of directly applicable civil-site design experience
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
- Experience with Hydraflow and various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
- P.E. license (preferred)

• As Lead Fire Protection Engineer, you'll serve as the technical authority for all life safety and fire suppression systems across Giga's manufacturing and data center product lines. • You'll own the Fire Protection Plan of Record (POR), ensuring that our standardized designs for high-density compute environments are compliant with NFPA and IBC while optimizing for asset protection and business continuity. • This role requires deep expertise in special hazard suppression, complex alarm sequencing, and battery energy storage safety. • You'll design fire protection systems that protect billions of dollars in critical AI infrastructure while enabling the rapid deployment model that sets Giga apart. • You'll navigate the unique challenges of modular data centers—from Double-Interlock Pre-Action systems to clean agent gaseous suppression, from lithium-ion battery risks to complex mechanical and electrical interlocks. Your designs will be replicated across hundreds of facilities, making standardization, reliability, and code compliance absolutely critical.
