Key Account Manager – Flexible & Rigid Packaging, Polymers

• Ensure all relevant sales activities to develop customers and markets in line with defined strategies and budgets • Manage and further develop existing customers as well as identify and acquire new customers • Responsible for budget planning for assigned customers, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions • Actively contribute to closing business (“owner mentality”) and take responsibility for achieving sales targets • Use our CRM system, including segmentation, activities, volume structures, and projects • Ensure continuous communication with Product Management and Technical Service • Monitor, evaluate and report on market trends, customer needs and competitive developments • Provide strategic and operational market information to support internal decision-making processes • Identify new market potentials • Build strategic and reliable collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Product Management, Technical Service, Application Development and Supply Chain • Ensure clear communication, responsibilities and timely escalations • Contribute to the further development of internal sales processes and to knowledge sharing

Job Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in a technical or business-related field
  • Strong ability to understand customer needs, recognise opportunities and capitalise on them
  • Hands-on mentality and pronounced service orientation both internally and externally
  • Experience in B2B sales in the field of commodity polymers or similar products
  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge across a broad range of product groups and processing technologies
  • Understanding of product portfolios in polyethylene, PE copolymers, polypropylene and polystyrene as well as complementary products
  • Knowledge of processing technologies such as injection moulding, blow moulding, cast film and blown film is an advantage
  • Independent and responsible way of working
  • Excellent German and good English language skills
