Manager, Product Research – IntelliScript

• Own the Irix Product Research backlog: collect market feedback, scope research opportunities, facilitate prioritization discussions, and drive results through • Serve as a player-coach: perform hands-on analysis, delegate and prioritize objectives, and mentor, motivate and develop analysts • Set standards for documentation, quality, transparency, and peer-review • Translate research outcomes into clear requirements in partnership with product/software development and other technical teams • Develop value analysis strategies to drive adoption for new and existing products • Work with external and internal clients to create high quality deliverables that effectively meet their goals and showcase the value of our products • Generate thought leadership materials such as webinars, conference presentations and white papers, in partnership with other departments, to highlight subject matter expertise, product capabilities, and groundbreaking research • Define success metrics for R&D initiatives and guide post-release performance monitoring • Showcase research findings to key stakeholders and leadership for awareness, understanding, and decision-making
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or other major with quantitative course work
- 4+ years of experience in product R&D, analytics, actuarial science, or data science
- Expertise with prescription and medical claims data
- Solid understanding of underwriting principles and drivers of mortality/morbidity risk
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional initiatives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong critical thinking and ability to think big picture
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, and database querying languages (preferably SQL)
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Databricks, R, and Python
