Senior Manager, Pricing & Contracting

• Support the Vice President, Market Access and the Channel Directors with all aspects of contract development, pricing models, bid processes, health system management, and business strategies. • Model financial risks and opportunities with major pricing proposals. • Work cross-functionally to maintain accurate customer contracts and pricing, and incorporate into financial models • Prepare and present pricing reports to senior management; market access function, and cross-functional partners • Collaborates with the Access Strategy team to perform pricing analyses on ad-hoc projects and evaluate new product opportunities • Develop database with cross-functional partners and manage pricing software and tools • Evaluate the impact of pricing changes on sales and margins • Identify and recommend areas for improvements with the contracting processes to meet changing needs of the business. • Identify appropriate data sources for retrieving information on pricing and reimbursement about payer customers and genetic tests • Use descriptive and advanced analytics methods to generate actionable insights from large quantities of third party and/or enterprise data • Track reimbursement rates/fee schedules and associated CPT codes for payers and for BG test codes • Consistently build effective relationships with team members, clients, and cross-functional partners; ability to influence directly and indirectly. • Results orientated and strong initiative; convey a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure. • Ability to positively contribute and adapt to change and operate in a dynamic organization. • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation. • Uphold company mission and values; ensure compliance in all company policies and guidelines • Adheres to Code of Conduct as outlined in the Baylor Genetics Compliance Program • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience, or advanced degree, or professional certifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
  • Experience with data analytics in the life sciences industry
  • Experience with pricing analytics and insights for contracting purposes
  • Experience with reporting pricing insights to senior management
  • Experience with pricing as it relates to CPT coding in the laboratory testing environment is preferred
  • Experience with relevant 3rd party data resources and fee schedules for the U.S. payers (CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Health Plans).
  • Knowledge of the payer payment system in the U.S.
  • Ability to manage projects and work effectively in a cross-functional environment as an individual contributor
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver results according to specified deadlines and project plans
  • Experience with genomics and genetics is preferred
