Senior Director, Product Marketing and Strategy

• Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, responsible for shaping Accela’s outbound product narrative, market positioning, and go‑to‑market readiness across our portfolio. • Develop and maintain a strong point of view on the govtech landscape, including buyer behaviors, procurement patterns, competitive trends, and emerging opportunities. • Run ongoing market and competitive intelligence, translating insights into clear implications for product positioning and go-to-market strategy. • Provide structured input into strategic conversations with Product and Executive leadership. • Own product positioning, value propositions, and solution messaging across priority products and verticals. • Partner with Marketing to build differentiated content—solution overviews, sales decks, product collateral, launch messaging, and analyst-facing narratives. • Support Sales with competitive positioning, strategic deal framing, and customer-facing product storytelling. • Represent Accela’s product strategy narrative in analyst discussions, customer advisory boards, and strategic customer conversations. • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Finance on pricing and packaging discussions. • Provide market, buyer, and competitive insights to inform pricing decisions, packaging options, and adoption levers. • Assess how competitors and adjacent markets structure pricing; offer data-driven recommendations. • Ensure tight partnership with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to align messaging, enablement, and product direction. • Drive consistency across the funnel—from roadmap narrative → marketing → sales execution. • Deliver high-quality executive communications, including market briefs, competitive updates, and portfolio insights. • Participate in TAM analysis, customer segmentation, and portfolio-level market sizing. • Provide market signals and competitive insights to help shape product themes and strategic bets. • Support the evaluation of product gaps, expansion opportunities, and market-fit assessments. • Contribute to product investment discussions, ROI modeling, and business-case creation.
Job Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, product strategy, or a related role; govtech or public-sector experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in product positioning, solution messaging, and competitive/market analysis.
- Experience participating in pricing and packaging discussions or supporting monetization initiatives.
- Excellent executive communication skills; able to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Proven ability to translate market insights into clear go-to-market direction.
