• Build autonomous restaurant operations software and innovate new interaction models between operators and software • Work on mission-critical systems that directly impact guest experience with our product, restaurant revenue and reputation, and operate as a leader in reliability and scale • Build systems in a domain with rich real-time data loops with immediate customer feedback, and have a direct impact on Owner’s revenue trajectory by greatly reducing support tickets and churn • Demonstrate extreme ownership across workflows spanning ordering, kitchens, delivery, and fulfillment
• Own the POS escalations channel — triage, validate, and resolve incoming bug reports and technical questions from CS, Launch, and Engineering • Reproduce and confirm bugs; provide Engineering with clear steps to reproduce, root-cause insights, and relevant logs from Datadog or other tooling • Resolve and filter out non-bugs (config issues, user error, expected behavior) so Engineering stays focused on roadmap work • Handle issues that require elevated access: production DB lookups, internal scripts, Datadog queries, network tab investigation • Be a true partner to the POS Engineering team — know the product and codebase well enough to flag what matters and provide real context when escalating • Build relationships with CS and Launch to help them troubleshoot POS issues more independently over time • Identify patterns in escalations and surface knowledge gaps back to Enablement • Partner with Enablement to flag and shape documentation and knowledge base updates — new content, revisions, and gaps surfaced from real escalations • Advocate for customers and influence POS product direction through structured feedback
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of Launch Specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. • Provide training, coaching, and performance management to ensure the team delivers high-quality support. • Refine our Onboarding process to support new restaurants and set them up for success. • Identify key metrics and develop strategies to reduce early churn among new restaurant clients. • Collaborate closely with Onboarding, Sales, Product, and Customer Support teams to ensure seamless transition and consistent messaging for new clients.

• Own and scale build automation — design, build, and maintain our CI/CD infrastructure (pipelines, runners, artifact storage, signing agents, self-hosted macOS runners); ensure developers across backend, frontend, and mobile can iterate quickly without worrying about builds breaking down • Take charge of our mobile pipelines, with particular focus on iOS: automate versioning, provisioning profile management, keychain handling, automated signing, .ipa generation, TestFlight distribution, and App Store submission via Fastlane or native tooling • Embed quality and traceability into build stages — integrate linting, on-device tests (XCTest, Espresso, Appium), code coverage metrics, and build-state dashboards to reduce flakiness and turnaround time • Apply an SRE mindset to delivery — model build success/failure ratios as SLIs, define error budgets, track pipeline latency (time to green), and build alerts so broken builds are fixed within minutes • Automate for speed and reliability — build caching, parallel job orchestration, staging environment mirroring (via Terraform), and fast rollback workflows so every pipeline is idempotent and traceable. • Champion cross-team collaboration — coach developers on writing reliable Makefile/Gradle/Xcode configurations, secure signing practices, and branching models. • Lead incident response for build failure — serve on rotational pager for CI systems, drive blameless post-mortems, and automate resilient fallback logic (e.g. fallback runners, sourced caching). • Strategize adoption of next-gen tools — evaluate options like GitHub’s macOS runners, Bamboo, Bitrise, or Codemagic to support future iOS scale and cross-platform parity.
