About the Role Semarchy is looking for an experienced Presales Solutions Engineer with a focus on technical pre-sales who knows the Enterprise Software space. Reporting to the Senior Director, Solutions Consultants, your primary objective will be to solve our prospective clients' complex data-related business issues with our innovative, best-of-breed xDM solution (top-5 analyst rated product) and xDI solution with a focus on data products and creating AI ready data. Must Have - Approximately 5+ years of experience working with data and relational databases in a similar role (e.g. Presales, Sales Consultant, Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer) - A technical background with working knowledge of databases and SQL scripts, experience with analytics, and business intelligence solutions - Cloud experience in platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Hybrid, Private, etc., and a working knowledge of Java, Linux, & Windows - Ability to manipulate multiple databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc. and experience with one or more data integration solutions (ETL / EAI): ODI, Talend, Informatica - Understanding of on-prem, cloud, and SaaS enterprise architectures - Excellent presentation and platform skills along with presence and enthusiasm in both remote and in person environments - Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner - Hyper focused on satisfying the customer and strongly committed to always meeting deadlines in a friendly and professional manner - A commitment to continuously generating value and creating impact for the greater good of Semarchy and each other Nice to Have - Strong ability and social awareness to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with ALL Semarchians with preference for excellent written / verbal communication, presentation and creativity - 3+ years experience with Semarchy xDM & 3+ years experience with Enterprise Integration - Experience with Git/GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, and container management a plus - Microsoft Visual Studio - Ability to work independently and swiftly learn and apply technologies to various business challenges - BA / BS degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related areas What You’ll Do - Discover and understand prospective client requirements to best support them and provide optimally configured solutions - Partner with Sales to plan, prepare and execute Demos that will aid in the conversion of prospective enterprise clients as they consider investing in our innovative MDM solution - Create and deliver powerful technical presentations and demonstrations that clearly explain our solution and Model the logical business case associated with each client opportunity to successfully match and modify requirements to proposed solutions - Manage technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses and be an evangelist of our unique value proposition - Support the implementation of client solutions (cloud, on-premises, etc.) and recommend improvements, understanding how best to employ our software to meet client needs - Make the organization, your team and external partners smarter by collecting and documenting competitive intelligence, sharing that information across our channel organization - Support the training and consulting efforts with clients beyond the sale We are committed to making Semarchy an even better place to work, and this means creating a high performing environment where everyone can do their Best Work, where they can Grow in their career path, and Be Accountable – to each other and Semarchy. *For those applicants in the CA, CO and NYC area, the salary range for this role is $130,000 to $140,000 base plus variable incentive. Position Summary The Sales Engineer lives and works in the intersection between sales and engineering. The ideal candidate must be able to articulate technology and product positioning at the executive, business and technical levels. Sales Engineers are the primary technical support for the sales force and are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process.
