Temp - Associate Accessibility Specialist The Universal Access team is comprised of four functional areas: Accessibility; Authenticity & Belonging (A&B); English Learners; and Spanish. The Universal Access team partners across product development teams to ensure that best practices surrounding learner variability (students with disabilities, students from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds) are a part of the design of all our programs. In addition, the Universal Access team is responsible for supporting the development of all the content Curriculum Associates develops in Spanish. The impact you’ll have: • Provide timely and high-quality support of customer questions on accessibility features and accommodation supports • Review and refine boilerplate language for case management process • Support development of high-quality customer-facing accessibility resources for both existing and new product areas • Help facilitate production of customer-facing video series on accessibility features in both existing and new product areas • Collaborate with product teams and field-facing teams as appropriate to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to customers • Strengthen CA’s reputation as a trusted partner committed to improvements around accessibility and usability • Contribute to the mission of making education accessible to every student Who we’re looking for: • Experience considering learner variability in the context of K-12 classrooms, especially in meeting the needs of students with disabilities • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong organizational and project management skills • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take initiative within a supportive environment • Comfortability with various software including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Smartsheet, and databases • 1-3 years' experience in education, technology, assessment, and/or curriculum development • Prior experience working with students with disabilities and/or interest in digital accessibility and Universal Design for Learning is a plus! Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Temporary role: 6-month contract // 30 - 40 hours per week Pay Range: This role’s range is $30 - $35/hour. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws. Benefits: Temporary and per-diem employees who average at least 30 hours of work per week within the Company’s look-back period are eligible to enroll in medical coverage after 90 days of employment. Temporary and per-diem employees working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays. All temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time.
