The Network Lead is responsible for the design, administration, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. This role provides technical leadership and day‑to‑day management for a team of network administrators and engineers, ensuring secure, resilient, and high‑performing connectivity services. The Network Lead partners closely with compute, storage, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable network solutions, support mergers and acquisitions, and maintain reliable connectivity for critical systems and users. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network administrators and engineers, ensuring consistent service delivery and professional growth. - Establish and maintain standards, best practices, and documentation for network architecture, operations, and lifecycle management. - Oversee administration of on‑premises network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, access points, and WAN connectivity. - Direct design, configuration, and management of enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and firewall environments. - Oversee cloud‑based networking architecture, including virtual networks, site‑to‑site and remote‑access connectivity, cloud‑native firewalls, network segmentation and security controls, load balancing, application delivery components, private connectivity services, traffic management, and DNS services. - Lead implementation and maintenance of network security controls, including firewall policy, segmentation, VPN connectivity, and secure remote‑access solutions. - Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud‑networking issues. - Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; lead proactive optimization and long‑term planning initiatives. - Plan and execute network integration and remediation activities for mergers and acquisitions, including multi‑vendor environments. - Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security baselines, zero‑trust principles, and incident‑response procedures. - Partner with compute, storage, and collaboration teams to align network architecture with application and infrastructure requirements. - Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, IP schemas, configuration standards, and operational procedures. - Serve as the escalation point for major incidents and coordinate cross‑team resolution efforts.
