Business Development Executive – Life Sciences
Minor Hotels Europe and Americas
• Bring Capgemini’s engineering services value to major Life Sciences clients in North America • Present, promote and sell solutions/services using proven arguments to existing and prospective customers • Lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closure of opportunities to drive profitable growth • Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline consistent with account strategy • Lead client relationships independently or with support from Client Partner or Client Leader • Structure and craft deals for value, demonstrating offerings and capabilities • Monitor client engagement levels and conduct periodic business reviews
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' experience either selling engineering services to Tier One Life Sciences OEMs or working directly for a Tier One Life Sciences OEM
- Experience delivering value added engineering solutions in one or more of the following functional areas: Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Clinical, Regulatory, Laboratory or Quality
- Bachelor's degree – Engineering or Sciences Degree
- Strong understanding of Life Sciences trends including Medical Devices, Cell and Gene Therapies, Biologics, and Gen AI
- Experience Selling Life Science Manufacturing Engineering solution – PLM, MES, LIMS, QMS, and LS Industry SaaS applications like Veeva, TetraSciences, Benchling etc. preferred
- Proven ability to seed, win and lead large strategic deals
- Strong consultative relationship-building skills and senior-level client engagement.

Role Description We have a leadership opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager, Utility and OEMs to join Powertech USA. Be part of an organization contributing to the energy transition, actively shaping the future of the power industry. - Key Account Management: Effectively manage and grow relationships with our existing utility and OEM clients, identifying opportunities for growth through cross-selling of the full portfolio of Powertech products and services to meet their evolving needs. - New Business Development: Proactively identify and engage with potential target clients within the utility and OEM market. Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand our customer base, leveraging market trends and competitive intelligence. Identify potential clients in target industries and complete appropriate research of the prospective client’s business and service need. Leverage CRM tools to manage client relationships, track sales pipelines and generate insights that drive strategic business development initiatives. - Project and Proposal Management: Lead the coordination and execution of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders. - Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the utilities and electrical manufacturing landscape. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus). - Minimum of 8 years’ experience in business development, commercial strategy and marketing in a related industry for professional services. - Previous experience in engineering consulting would be an asset. - Proven ability to lead high-value negotiations and build long-term partnerships. - Experience in establishing and managing strategy partnerships with key industry players, demonstrating a knack for collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships. - High proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive) for sales and client management. - Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
