Field Service Engineer I

Culligan

• Perform system checkouts, assist with system startups, and verify proper equipment operation. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and programming issues. • Train customers on system operation, maintenance, and performance adjustments. • Conduct water analyses, interpret results, conduct field testing to verify system performance and water quality. • Complete detailed service reports and documentation accurately and on time. • Maintain and calibrate test instruments and equipment. • Organize and maintain tools, spare parts, and vehicle inventory. • Respond to emergency service calls, including occasional after-hours or weekend work.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred); equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required able to learn electrical systems and programming PLC/VFD/HMI devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental and site conditions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% or more, including internationally.

Description Lead Access Control Technician Location: Little Rock, AR Department: Field Services Reports To: Field Services Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary This role is ideal for seasonal technicians with Access Control & Security experience. Our technicians & electricians work on nationwide deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and large-scale rollouts for some of the world’s largest brands, gaining exposure to the latest networking technologies and installation practices. This role is dispatched from home, meaning you can live anywhere within the region and travel directly to project sites. Reporting directly to our Field Services Manager of the region, this role will require travel to any US state as needed. Key Responsibilities - Strict adherence to safety standards and ensure everyone goes home. - Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of electronic access control systems, including controllers, card readers, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, and electrified locking hardware. - Manufacture certifications & training on systems such as Avigilon, Kantech, DSX, Honeywell, Bosch, etc. - Network & device configurations with the ability to troubleshoot and remedy connectivity issues. - Manage and accurately log time, expenses, material, & field resources throughout project lifecycles. - Manage work orders, signoff deliverables, daily log / journal, and other project documentation, sometimes directly to customers, project management & leadership teams. - Management and maintenance of company assets & vehicle (if assigned). Role Description Ensure that training and guidance are provided to the customer resulting in assembly and erection of Acrow products in accordance with relevant company design standards and procedures. - Function as principal advisor to customers for on-site activities in accordance with bridge erection and removals. - Partner with customers and engineering team on bridge reconnaissance, site selection and site prep coordination. - Understand all safety procedures and ensure safe work practices are followed to maintain a safe work environment. - Manage required project documents to ensure completion of project on time. - Perform customer training as required in a classroom / yard environment. - Understand and adhere to all Acrow’s policies and applicable laws. - This position requires a significant amount of travel to Acrow locations or Customer Sites.
