• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys and stakeholders • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence • Organize and maintain case files, legal records, and documentation systems • Assist with contract lifecycle management and compliance tracking • Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external legal professionals • Manage calendars, deadlines, and court filing schedules • Support litigation preparation, including discovery and document review • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal standards and procedures

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a **Paralegal**, Legal Assistant, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, documentation, and procedures
  • Experience with contract drafting, legal research, or compliance support
  • Familiarity with legal software and document management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote environment
  • Experience working with international clients (UK/US) is a plus

Overview Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Conflicts Analyst – Laterals III. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices with consideration given for 100% remote US locations. The Objective: The Lateral Analyst III assists the Firm and its attorneys with compliance and risk management related to lateral conflicts, with an emphasis on lateral partner conflicts review. What will you do? The Analyst reviews, researches, and analyzes lateral conflict submissions to identify potential ethical or business conflicts of interest and to ensure compliance with Firm policies and strategies. The role requires the in-depth review and analysis of conflict data and clear communication with firm attorneys and staff to assist with the resolution of potential conflict and compliance issues. The Analyst researches corporate entities and family tree structures to determine related entities and runs additional reports as needed. The Analyst is expected to have excellent analytical and communication skills as they manage a dynamic and often fast-paced set of matters and issues. Responsibilities - Work closely with members of the New Business & Conflicts lateral hiring team to identify potential ethical and business conflicts of interest presented by lateral conflicts submissions. - Operate independently with deep understanding of problem analysis and resolution. - Collaborate with team to resolve complex issues. - Review and analyze research reports for conflicts. - Perform data entry and analysis for conflict check requests. - Monitor data quality and inter-department data sharing. - Ensure timely processing of lateral and conflict requests. - Communicate effectively per firm policies on lateral and other requests. - Review and process Professional Responsibility Questionnaires (PRQs) for accuracy. - Coordinate with recruiting for additional candidate information. - Prioritize urgent requests in lateral inbox. - Cross-reference Intapp Open reports for new hires. - Implement risk management processes. - Coordinate NB&C training and outreach with management. - Lead departmental projects and initiatives. - Support customer service needs. - Assist with lateral onboarding efforts. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is between: - New York City, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco $76,000 - $117,000 - Washington DC, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, Boston, and Seattle $ 73,000- $108,000 - All Other US Locations $71,000- $103,000 Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work.
