• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors on legal, regulatory, and enterprise risk matters, including equity, financing, and corporate governance. • Build, lead, and develop Waymark's legal team, establishing scalable processes and systems as the company grows. • Oversee corporate legal matters and commercial contracting of the highest complexity, including value-based care agreements, vendor and supply agreements, and strategic partnerships. • Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive compliance program addressing HIPAA/privacy, fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA), the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), and other state and federal healthcare regulations. • Own Waymark's privacy program, ensuring appropriate policies, controls, and cross-functional practices for handling sensitive patient and member data. • Oversee Waymark's information security function, partnering with technology teams on security policy, incident response, and vendor risk management. • Establish and manage enterprise risk management protocols tailored to a scaling healthcare technology company, proactively identifying and mitigating legal, regulatory, and operational risk. • Provide clear, practical, and creative legal guidance to stakeholders across the business, often under short timelines and amid ambiguity.

• Provide telephonic and/or video and/or SMS-based outreach, engagement, and education of vulnerable patients in the Medicaid program in California. • Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide care management services that ‘wrap around’ primary care provider practices; team members include Community Health Workers, Care Coordinators, and Behavioral Health Therapists. • Support patients and providers around transitions of care. • Provide clinical services that support day-to-day operations and safe practices of the program. • Participate in QI activities to assure quality, cost-effectiveness, and ROI. • Utilize analytics dashboards that help you proactively outreach patients who receive medication and/or equipment rejections, admissions/readmissions, or who may benefit from medication adherence counseling. • Lead and mentor pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians.

• Build, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available systems on AWS • Own CI/CD pipelines and drive improvements to deployment automation • Own and evolve infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible • Research new tools and technologies, develop proofs of concept, and introduce validated practices to the team • Improve system reliability — sharpen alerting, build out runbooks, and deepen observability across our stack (Grafana, Loki, Mimir, Tempo) • Participate in an on-call rotation; off-hours incidents are rare thanks to extensive automation and self-healing — occasional evening work is limited to planned maintenance and system upgrades • Maintain process documentation, operational runbooks, and infrastructure diagrams • Help maintain and manage systems for other teams • Raise the DevOps literacy of the engineering team — mentoring junior engineers and helping non-infrastructure engineers build good practices around deployments, observability, and reliability • Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure design decisions

• Ship features and fixes to our messaging platform, built in Elixir. • Work through bug tickets across our stack (React, TypeScript, Elixir). • Set up a local development environment that mirrors production. • Participate in sprint planning and refinement, managing your work in Jira. • Contribute to code reviews on GitHub and keep your team informed in standups. • Collaborate with senior engineers, product, and design on upcoming feature planning. • Work with PostgreSQL as part of our production data layer.

• Conduct user research with community health workers, pharmacists, therapists, care coordinators, and patients to understand pain points and design solutions that eliminate manual workarounds. • Design with and learn from communities we serve, building solutions that celebrate the wisdom of lived experiences. • Create user flows and interfaces that prioritize patient care over cumbersome, billing-focused systems. • Design end-to-end experiences for our proprietary CRM platform that supports automated patient outreach, appointment scheduling, and care coordination. • Create user-friendly and customizable interfaces that reveal actionable insights to care teams, enabling them to focus on patients' goals rather than administrative tasks. • Design AI-assisted workflows that feel trustworthy and enhance (rather than replace) human-centered care. • Ensure all designs meet healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, accessibility requirements). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams composed of engineers, product managers, and data scientists to implement and iterate on changes to the user experience based on feedback from care teams. • Partner with our current designer to evolve our design system and establish patterns for community-based care technology. • Contribute to product strategy discussions with a team that embodies our core values and wants to have a voice in the future of community-based care.

• Own clinical data quality across claims, EHR, and ADT: Define standards for how clinical data is structured, normalized, and validated as modeling inputs across payer claims (medical, pharmacy, eligibility), EHR data (Epic, Cerner, Athena), and real-time ADT feeds. Bring deep familiarity with EHR data formats (FHIR, HL7, C-CDA) and how data from systems like Epic, Cerner, and Athena maps to clinical reality. Hold the bar for clinical accuracy and completeness across all three sources. • Build and ship production ML/AI models: Develop, validate, and deploy risk stratification, care gap prediction, treatment effect estimation, and LLM/foundation model applications — with rigor around leakage, calibration, fairness, and clinical face validity. • Apply health economics and outcomes methods: Translate raw clinical and claims data into decision-grade evidence through risk adjustment, utilization measurement, cost attribution, quasi-experimental evaluation, and outcomes measurement aligned with CMS, NCQA, and MCO reporting standards. • Advance machine and AI products: Bring senior modeling judgment to the product roadmap, owning the clinical and methodological soundness of what ships. • Set standards and mentor: Make architectural trade-offs, drive alignment across data science, engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders, and mentor junior data scientists to raise the technical bar of the team.

• Conduct weekly multidisciplinary rounds with Midwest and West Coast care teams, reviewing patient goals, complex medical and social situations, and providing clinical oversight and outcome-improvement strategies. • Serve as the designated reviewer and triaging physician for COMPASS patient escalations as they enter the queue, applying clinical judgment to prioritize and direct AI-flagged cases to appropriate next steps. • Alternate monthly care delivery education sessions with co-Medical Lead, developing and facilitating case-based learning (e.g., SUD management, integrated behavioral health, heart failure, steroid-induced hyperglycemia, functional seizures) for CHWs, care coordinators, pharmacists, and therapists. • Provide asynchronous and synchronous clinical supervision to licensed therapists (LCSW/LMFT) and pharmacist teams, including time-sensitive escalations such as acutely suicidal or medically unstable patients. • Rotate on-call coverage with co-Medical Lead for rare after-hours urgent clinical escalations and questions from field teams. • Serve as the clinical dyad partner for regional operations leads, supporting market performance against quality, HEDIS, and outcomes OKRs. • Represent Waymark at regional and national meetings with health system and health plan physician leadership, including presentations to MCO and FQHC Chief Medical Officers on Waymark’s care model and COMPASS platform. • Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices across primary care, integrated behavioral health, street medicine, and population health, and contribute to quarterly clinical guideline reviews.

• Continuous Process Transformation: Proactively identify, design, and implement end-to-end process transformations across the People team. • Data management & HRIS: Configure, maintain, and optimize the Rippling HRIS for accurate data management and reporting. • Payroll & Compliance: Collaborate closely with Finance to audit and execute accurate payroll processing. • Elevated Employee Experience & Support: Serve as the trusted, day-to-day subject matter expert, developing scalable and efficient processes. • Onboarding: Manage onboarding compliance steps. • LOAs: Manage LOAs in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. • Strategic Benefits Program Management: Lead all day-to-day benefits operations. • Policy Ownership: Primary owner responsible for People team policies and SOPs.

• Architect production-grade data pipelines that integrate clinical data through multiple channels—direct EHR connections (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth), health information exchanges (HIEs), health alliance networks, and third-party integration vendors—via FHIR R4 APIs, HL7v2 feeds, CCDA documents, and bulk data exports, while enforcing healthcare standards and clinical terminologies (ICD-10, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm), targeting sub-hour latency from clinical event to actionable insight and ≥99.9% pipeline reliability. • Lead end-to-end integration efforts with health plan partners, HIEs, health alliance networks, provider organizations, and data integration vendors—owning partner technical evaluation, connectivity, data mapping, validation, and production rollout. • Build and optimize cloud-native data infrastructure (AWS) and ETL/ELT workflows using modern orchestration tools (e.g., Step Functions, dbt) with robust data quality monitoring and lineage tracking. • Develop reusable backend frameworks, libraries, and internal tooling that accelerate onboarding of new data sources—whether direct EHR feeds, HIE connections, or vendor integrations—with the goal of reducing new-partner integration time by 50% or more while improving developer productivity and reducing operational toil across engineering. • Partner with data science and data analytics teams to build and operationalize the data foundations for predictive risk scores, care gap identification, clinical alerting, and patient outreach prioritization. • Collaborate with product and clinical teams to translate care delivery requirements into scalable, production-grade technical solutions and influence. • Ensure all data systems comply with HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable privacy regulations, implementing access controls, audit logging, encryption, and de-identification processes for PHI. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across Waymark, raising the bar on healthcare data best practices.

• Oversee the internal cybersecurity program, road map, and strategy, which includes developing and implementing procedures and policies designed to protect Waymark communications, systems, and assets from internal and external threats and that safeguards health information. • Oversee and manage Waymark’s MSSP and outsourced IT vendor, including responsibility for security and IT budgets, and IT tools used by Waymark. • Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance leadership to determine risks and deploy risk management processes, supporting Waymark’s secure software development lifecycle and ensuring that our internally developed products and services meet the expectations of our patients, customers and regulators • Own, define and oversee the necessary security operational functions such as Identity Management, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Security Awareness, and Vendor Risk Management • Serve as Waymark’s HIPAA Security Officer, ensuring compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule, working closely with the legal team to document, review, maintain, and implement standards, policies, and procedures within security disciplines. • Lead the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of industry-standard security certifications, including SOC2 Type II. • Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across a wide variety of source data to identify and prevent compromise of our networks, host systems, and data. • Track and report on network security to the Waymark executive leadership team
