Job Requirements

- Organized, autonomous and able to manage priorities

Role Description We are looking for a Peer Support Worker to help individuals in at-risk communities. You will be responsible for making regular home visits and assessing and reporting on the needs of families that you visit. In this role, you will be working with victims of child abuse, neglect, domestic violence, people suffering from physical or mental illness, or community members dealing with financial hardship. To be successful in this role, you must be empathetic, but also be able to set boundaries. You will need to listen actively and ask pertinent questions. You will also have strong communication and persuasion skills. - Assessing cases and compiling case reports containing relevant information. - Ensuring that case reports are kept up to date. - Providing support, guidance and counsel to families in need. - Making referrals or introductions to other agencies. - Scheduling and escorting individuals to appointments with legal aid workers, counsellors, doctors, etc. - Monitoring visits between at-risk or fragile children and family members. - Motivating individuals to participate in rehabilitation programs. - Reporting abuse. Qualifications - Experience with Mental Health and Addictions. - Basic computer skills. - Must be socially perceptive to work with individuals who have difficulty expressing their needs. - Knowledge of crisis-intervention methodologies. - Must be organized and practical. - Proven coordination skills to connect individuals/families with relevant services. - Ability to compromise, negotiate and work well with others.
• Your purpose in the 30-hour part-time position as (Psycho-Social) Innovations Counselor within the Innovations Team from 01.05. or 01.06.2026 (fixed-term until 31.12.2026) is primarily to advance chat counseling for children and adolescents at krisenchat to a level of excellence. • You primarily counsel acute, challenging, or so-called prioritized chats, predominantly during evening and night hours. • With your expertise you support and accompany our interns and volunteer counselors using the four-eyes principle (joint oversight). • As part of your role you participate in regular intervision sessions, supervision and workshops to ensure high counseling quality. • You will be trained for on-call duty. • You are part of the Innovations Team, which focuses on the continuous development of the platform and counseling features. • Identification of professional, ethical or methodological risks and development potentials of our counseling and the counseling platform. • Documentation of test results in standardized feedback and testing protocols. • Participation in evaluation rounds and internal meetings to interpret test results and derive necessary adjustments.
