Field Service Engineer – Cargo Inspection System (CIS)

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high‑energy scanning systems. • Conduct site audits, manage spare‑parts inventory, and support system performance improvements. • Assist with new system installations, including factory and on‑site commissioning. • Provide on‑call and remote technical support on a rotating basis. • Contribute to continuous improvement of service operations, documentation, and customer satisfaction. • Ensure strict adherence to EHS standards and company quality procedures.
Job Requirements
- Education /qualification in engineering (i..e MBO 4 level in electrical, mechanical, electronics) or relevant experience.
- Experience as an FSE (installation, maintenance, repair) and strong customer‑service background.
- Solid skills in electrical/electromechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and reading schematics.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, automation, sensors, actuators, and radiation‑safety principles.
- Basic networking understanding (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switches, firewalls).
- Good command of Windows environments, diagnostic tools, and remote‑support software.
- Strong analytical abilities, autonomy, initiative, and customer orientation.
- Fluent in English and Dutch languages (spoken and written).
- French language skills are nice to have.
- Driving licence.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is a professional who provides valuable services to our customers by conducting onsite field visits. FSE responsibilities include installation, repairing, and maintenance of Cepheid diagnostic equipment in a compliant manner.
