TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Role Description As a Training and Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the training initiatives for all crew members. The manager will design and oversee training programs, assess their effectiveness, and facilitate continuous development to enhance overall crew performance and guest experience. Responsibilities - Responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and conducting HR, Margaritaville Brand, and department training. - Report immediately to Human Resource Director and Hotel Director about any discrepancy or issue encountered regarding training of the crew. - Design and implement training programs for new and existing crew members to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exceptional service, uphold safety protocols, and align with the company's brand values. - Work closely with HR Services/Crew Purser team to design and refine processes to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new crew members. - Coordinate with Shoreside team to develop, implement, and facilitate corporate and brand driven initiatives. - Development and implementation of in-service training based on needs identified by relevant KPIs. - Work with department leaders to identify supplemental training and development opportunities for crew members. - Promote a culture of continuous learning and development. - Design and implement relevant leadership development programs and initiatives to equip onboard leaders with the knowledge and skills to support a positive and effective work environment. - Track training compliance and maintain accurate training records. - Responsible for supervision and assistance of the Crew Engagement Coordinator. - Work closely with Crew Engagement Coordinator and Shoreside teams to maintain effective and timely communication. Qualifications - Minimum 21 years old - Relevant ship experience is preferred - Good level of English language - Formal education in HR, Training & Development, or Business Administration. - Additional coursework or certification in leadership development and instructional design is a plus. - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR training, employee engagement, or organizational development. - Experience designing and delivering training programs for diverse, multicultural teams. - Previous experience in hospitality or cruise industry strongly preferred. - Experience managing onboarding processes and compliance tracking. - Strong understanding of HR principles, training methodologies, and adult learning theories. - Knowledge of brand standards and customer service excellence. - Familiarity with LMS platforms and compliance reporting. - Understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols is a plus. - Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for in-person and virtual training. - Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple initiatives. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging crew and leadership. - Ability to design creative and impactful training materials aligned with brand values. - Skilled in data analysis for identifying training needs based on KPIs. - Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French or German preferred. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Relevant ship experience is preferred
  • Good level of English language
