Please see important information about the ranking criteria methodology here. Job Summary: Financial planning is the foundation of Mercer Advisors. In the Wealth Strategist role, you will support advisors with creating and maintaining comprehensive financial plans for advisors to deliver to clients. You will work as part of our Financial Planning Group, to create and maintain customized and comprehensive financial plans for clients. To succeed at this position, you need to be detailed, structured, process-oriented, analytical and have a high degree of follow-through and communication skills. Essential Job Functions will include: - Work with advisors to review, update and implement financial plans for clients, including but not limited to, goals development, cash flow, investments, tax analysis, insurance analysis, retirement. - Assessment of a client’s planning situation and provide direction and guidance to advisor on next steps in the planning process. - Support advisors with meeting preparation related to the financial plan. - Ensure eMoney, or similar planning software, is up-to-date and all accounts are linked. - Research of specific topics, legislation, or other planning matters unique to client situations and for purposes of internal projects, as well as internal and external materials. - Participation in both department and firmwide projects. - Continued planning knowledge through internal and external firm training/self-study/industry participation. - Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - CFP, or advanced degree (ex: CPA, CFA, JD, MT, LLM, MBA) required - 10+ years direct planning experience, - Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills - Highly organized and able to excel in a fast-paced environment - Competency with eMoney, BNA, or other planning, tax, or research software preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) required Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM Working Conditions: Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a work station, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs. Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
