Summary Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a System IT Pharmacy Specialist to join our team! This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN. Under general direction, responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting. The IT Pharmacy Specialist will assist the Director- Pharmacy Applications and Manager- Pharmacy Applications in day-to-day operations of the application team, as well as serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes. This includes data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support. Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation. Ensures that the software build meets organizational goals and external regulatory mandates. Has technical knowledge of all phases of applications system analysis and project management. Duties include instructing, directing and checking the work of other Application Analysts, personnel, and project team members. Acts as project leader for projects with moderate to large budgets or system-wide implications, multiple projects of a short to long-term duration, and medium to large projects. This role will involve hands-on monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving — ensuring our systems are not just working, but working well.
