We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead low-voltage and fire alarm system projects from preconstruction through completion. This role supports a contractor delivering complex electrical and life safety systems across commercial and government environments. The position is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and field execution while ensuring compliance with strict regulatory and security requirements. This role begins on-site for onboarding and transition, with the opportunity for a hybrid or remote schedule after the first 30 days based on performance and project needs. Responsibilities - Manage low-voltage and fire alarm projects from preconstruction through closeout - Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar tools - Oversee budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management - Coordinate subcontractors, field technicians, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution - Review drawings, specifications, and system designs to confirm scope and constructability - Ensure compliance with government project requirements, safety standards, and security protocols - Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and installation standards - Manage RFIs, submittals, and all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle - Communicate project updates with clients, internal teams, and key stakeholders - Support estimating efforts including takeoffs, pricing reviews, and proposal development
Job Requirements
- 8–10+ years of project management experience in construction or electrical systems
- Experience managing low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, security, or structured cabling
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling tools, preferably Microsoft Project
- Experience working on government or regulated projects with background check requirements
- Ability to pass a standard background check including no felony within the past 10 years and acceptable credit history
- Ability to manage project financials including budgets, forecasting, and change orders
- Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and system layouts
- Estimating or preconstruction experience within low-voltage or electrical scopes preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
