The IT Business Solutions Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT processes and technology solutions that support core business functions. This role focuses on developing frameworks and metrics for support services, procurement, business relationship management, project lifecycle management, and access control. The architect partners across teams to ensure technology investments deliver measurable value, drive operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with organizational standards. With broad expertise in process design and solution architecture, this leader provides integrated approaches that span departments, enforces governance, and champions continuous improvement to support business growth and agility. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Develop and maintain comprehensive IT process frameworks that align technology initiatives with organizational objectives, including support, procurement, business relationship management, project lifecycle, and access control. - Partner and coordinate closely with Risk Management and Security teams to identify, prioritize, document, and address technology and operational risks, ensuring risks are appropriately tracked, mitigated, and aligned with organizational risk tolerance. - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure process efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction across IT services. - Design and implement standardized workflows for support services, including request handling, escalation, and resolution tracking, driving continuous improvement and automation. - Create and manage procurement processes for IT assets, vendor onboarding, and lifecycle tracking, ensuring compliance with budgetary controls and contractual obligations. - Serve as a strategic liaison between IT and business units, translating business requirements into technical solutions and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. - Define and oversee standards for project initiation, planning, execution, and closure, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment with enterprise strategy. - Develop and enforce policies for identity and access management, collaborating with security teams to implement role-based provisioning and compliance controls. - Introduce emerging technologies and best practices to enhance process scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. - Mentor teams on process design and solution architecture, providing technical leadership and resolving complex challenges as needed. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and ensure alignment across multiple departments. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or comparable work experience in related fields. - 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in solution architecture or process design roles. - Proven track record in IT process development, business relationship management, and project lifecycle management. - Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms, HRIS platforms, procurement systems, and identity management solutions. - Expertise in scripting, process automation, metrics development, and compliance frameworks. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Knowledge of budgeting, resource management, and vendor negotiations.
