• Analyze business requirements to identify SharePoint-based solutions • Design and develop SharePoint solutions, including custom workflows, web parts, and applications • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needs • Develop SharePoint solutions using SharePoint development frameworks (e.g., .NET, PowerShell, Power Platform) • Create custom web parts, workflows, and other components to extend SharePoint functionality • Integrate SharePoint with other systems and applications • Test and debug SharePoint solutions to ensure they meet quality standards • Provide technical support for SharePoint applications • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for SharePoint solutions • Create and maintain technical documentation for SharePoint solutions

• Work closely with cross-functional agile project teams, stakeholders, and system developers to drive product design, development, solution verification, error identification, and testing life cycle driving adoption. • Participate in/facilitate scrum ceremonies; stand ups, retrospectives, demos, and sprints providing technical guidance on how to configure Power Platform, Sharepoint, and TEAMs solutions to bring about the desired behavior and visualization. • Design and develop custom applications and workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate, integrating seamlessly with the data source (e.g., SharePoint). • Create prototypes and design mock-ups to demonstrate UI concepts and gather feedback. • Develop Power Apps custom components, themes, and styles to ensure consistent branding and visual coherence across applications. • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, integrating data from SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other sources. • Effectively communicate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritization. • Conducts briefings and technical meetings for all levels, to include senior leadership. • Additional duties as assigned or required.

About the roleVannevar's Frontend Platform team builds and maintains the frontend foundation that the entire Vannevar platform runs on. We turn cross-product needs into stable, well-documented platform capabilities so product teams can ship fast, stay consistent, and focus on mission problems. We're looking for a senior frontend engineer to join this small, high-leverage team. You'll work on shared libraries, developer tooling, and the application shell (the code that every Vannevar product depends on). You'll also build user-facing platform features that directly impact how operators and analysts experience the product. What you’ll do - Own and evolve core frontend libraries and the application platform that Vannevar's products are built on - Design and implement shared infrastructure: routing, authentication, error handling, UI components, and cross-app patterns - Improve developer experience: faster local dev, better build pipelines, and clearer documentation - Partner with product teams to understand their needs and turn recurring patterns into reusable platform capabilities - Mentor and guide engineers across the organization on frontend architecture and best practices What we look for - 7+ years of professional experience in frontend software development - Experience working on frontend infrastructure, platform, or developer experience teams. You've built shared libraries, design systems, component frameworks, or internal tooling that other engineers depend on. - Deep expertise in TypeScript and React. You've thought seriously about component API design, render performance, state management boundaries, and how to ship library code that other teams consume without friction. - Strong opinions on developer experience, loosely held. You care about making other engineers productive and can balance long-term platform health with near-term team needs. - Eye for design and attention to detail. You hold UI to a high visual and interaction quality bar. - You treat other engineering teams as customers. You also care about the end users downstream (the operators using what gets built on top of your platform). - Comfort operating across the stack when needed. You don't stop at the frontend boundary if the right solution involves a backend change. Nice to have - Experience with module federation, micro-frontend architectures, or scaling frontend monorepos. - Familiarity with Node.js, Postgres, and OpenFGA - Familiarity with web application security (authentication, authorization, XSS prevention) and experience applying it across full stack applications - Experience building or contributing to design systems at scale. - Active Security clearance (or ability to obtain one) and willingness to travel onsite at least quarterly to perform user research and help debug issues. What we offerCompetitive SalaryThe salary range for this position is $170,000 - $225,000 + equity. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
