Job Description

Border Security – Data Architect SME

AMERICAN SYSTEMS

• Establish and maintain data architecture standards • Design and optimize data pipelines and integration strategies • Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities • Develop dashboards to communicate program health, performance metrics, and mission outcomes to senior leadership • Drive automation of reporting processes and artifact generation • Assist leading complex programs and projects from initiation through execution • Understand and analyze integrated master schedules (IMS), risk registers, and governance frameworks • Assist with overseeing program budgets, funding allocations, and obligation tracking • Serve as primary liaison between government stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams • Define and implement program performance metrics and KPIs • Facilitate stakeholder interviews and feedback loops • Lead cross-functional teams in developing and executing test plans, deployment strategies, and readiness assessments • Support enterprise risk management by aggregating risk data

Job Requirements

  • Active CBP BI or TOP SECRET
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • 12+ years' supporting Government solutions
  • 5+ years specific to Border Security
  • BS Degree required, Master's preferred
  • Experience with various border security technologies
  • Knowledge of best practices related to deployment of border security technologies
  • Understanding of the geographical and environmental conditions and challenges related to deployment areas and techniques for adapting to these conditions
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing border technology use and adherence to safety protocols

AI-Enabled Compliance Reviewer This Role As an AI-Enabled Compliance Reviewer at Norm Ai, you will serve as a dedicated compliance reviewer for Norm Ai’s clients, some of the largest asset management firms in the world. You will function as an extension of each client’s legal and compliance team while conducting reviews with the Norm Ai compliance platform. The role combines hands-on compliance judgment with close collaboration alongside Norm’s Legal Engineers to translate regulatory requirements, review standards, and examination practices into AI-native workflows and agents. In addition to supporting compliance reviews, regulatory examinations, and advisory engagements, you will help define how compliance work is operationalized, automated, and continuously applied within an AI-driven operating model. What You’ll Do You will serve as a compliance reviewer for Norm Ai clients, assigned to one or more client engagements at a time for multi-month review periods. During each assignment, you will function as an extension of the client’s compliance team, conducting reviews using Norm’s AI-powered compliance platform. Perform hands-on regulatory reviews across marketing materials, disclosures, policies and procedures, and surveillance outputs, applying professional compliance judgment alongside AI-assisted analysis. Work closely with Norm’s Legal Engineers and Norm Law, LLP’s Attorneys to translate regulatory requirements, review standards, and client-specific interpretations into AI agents and structured review logic. This includes helping define how reviews should be conducted, what constitutes an issue, and how regulatory standards are operationalized within automated workflows. Support SEC examinations, compliance program reviews, and other regulatory or advisory engagements for investment advisers and related financial institutions, contributing both substantive analysis and defensible documentation. Note: Work on-site with clients may be required, including multiple days per week in a secondment-style arrangement, typically within the NYC tri-state area, depending on the engagement.
