Position Title: Systems Engineer Position Location: Remote Job Summary: As a Systems Engineer within our Digital Infrastructure Practice, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining hardware solutions that form the foundation of our clients' digital infrastructure environments. Leveraging your expertise in hardware architecture, system design, and hardware technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure components. Your contributions will enable our clients to leverage technology effectively to support their business operations and digital transformation initiatives. Essential Functions: - Collaborate with architects and project teams to design hardware solutions that meet client requirements for performance, capacity, scalability, and reliability. - Evaluate hardware technologies, platforms, and configurations to recommend optimal solutions based on client needs, industry best practices, and budget considerations. - Develop hardware architecture diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans to guide the deployment and configuration of infrastructure components. - Implement hardware solutions according to design specifications, configuring servers, storage arrays, network switches, and other infrastructure components to meet performance and reliability requirements. - Install, configure, and manage hardware management software, firmware, and drivers to ensure compatibility, stability, and optimal performance of hardware systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware solutions with other infrastructure components, applications, and services. - Conduct testing and validation of hardware components and systems to ensure they meet functional requirements, performance benchmarks, and quality standards. - Perform hardware compatibility testing, interoperability testing, and certification testing to validate hardware configurations and configurations. - Document test plans, test results, and validation reports to support certification, compliance, and audit requirements. - Perform routine hardware maintenance tasks, including hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and component replacements, to ensure optimal performance and reliability of hardware systems. - Monitor hardware health, temperature, power consumption, and other telemetry data using monitoring tools and management consoles, proactively identifying and addressing issues. - Maintain accurate documentation of hardware configurations, procedures, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge transfer and support continuity. Education and Experience: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. - Proven experience in hardware engineering roles, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining hardware solutions in enterprise environments. Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
