How This Role Makes a Difference As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Finance team! No day will be the same. You will be responsible for translating business priorities and requirements to financial outcomes for the Finance department. How You'll Make An Impact - Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities and monitor the company's general ledger to ensure accurate and timely month-end close. - Lead the ASC 606 revenue determinations and accounting treatments. Collaborate across teams to review revenue recognition policies based on contract reviews. - Work closely with the Senior Director of Accounting to lead and complete annual external audits and tax filings. - Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation. - Review, approve, and prepare account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy of postings. - Review and process all intercompany and subsidiary transactions. - Coordinate with management and employees to ensure compliance with accounting policies. - Support stock compensation reporting requirements. - Identify and lead process improvement opportunities to increase effectiveness, and timeliness of financial reports. - Mentor and support staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions. - Support cross-team special projects. Bring positive and supportive attitude to achieving these goals. - Capable of professionally managing confidential information - Friendly, outgoing personality; maintain a positive attitude under pressure. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience - 3+ years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, or Accounts Payable - Experience in the clinical research industry a plus - Experience with implementing and/or managing expense reporting software and accounting software a plus How We Work Together - Location: Remote within the United States. This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment. - Travel: This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role. - Physical demands associated with this position Include: The ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment. The expected salary range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000 USD per year for full time team members.
