Senior Salesforce Engineer
Vanta
• Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative automation • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and GTM tools using Workato, APIs, custom middleware, and integration best practices • Make data architecture decisions including object modeling, relationship design, and data integrity strategies • Partner with Product Managers and Revenue Operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and contribute to development standards • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the GTM systems landscape • Optimize system performance, reduce technical debt, and ensure platform scalability • Contribute to deployment processes, release planning, and technical roadmap decisions
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of Salesforce development experience with strong Apex programming skills
- Expertise in Salesforce data modeling, system architecture, and designing scalable solutions
- Experience building and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems
- Proficiency with integration platforms such as Workato, Zapier, MuleSoft, or similar tools
- JavaScript experience for building custom user interfaces and front-end functionality
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices including governor limits, bulkification, and design patterns
- Experience with version control (Git), deployment tools (Salesforce DX, Gearset, or similar), and CI/CD practices
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and debug across integrated systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or similar business teams
- Track record of technical mentorship or leadership
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II) are a plus but not required
- Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
