Job Description

Senior AI Solutions Builder

Thumbtack

• Develop clear product requirements for AI-powered People workflows: conduct user research, map processes, and identify how AI can have the greatest impact. • Design and build AI tools: agents, automations, and knowledge retrieval systems — that scale how the People expertise is delivered. • Structure the knowledge layer: translate HR policies, playbooks, frameworks, and org context into AI-ready formats. • Partner with People Data Science and Engineering on data integrations: Workday, data warehouse, surveys, internal sources. • Define safety and governance guardrails: escalation to humans, handling sensitive topics, privacy and accuracy standards. • Evaluate build vs. buy tradeoffs: assess enterprise tools vs. custom solutions and recommend what will work in practice. • Own adoption and impact: lead rollout, manager training, feedback loops, and success metrics (e.g., response quality, employee satisfaction).

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, HR technology, people analytics, digital transformation, or a related field where you built and shipped tools that people used.
  • Hands-on builder: able to go from idea to production using AI-assisted tools (coding environments, prototyping tools, agentic platforms)
  • Solid understanding of HR functions and the employee lifecycle; strong judgment on which problems matter and what solutions will earn trust
  • Familiar with data flows from source systems (HRIS, data warehouse, surveys) into user-facing products; understands what’s possible without needing to be a data engineer
  • Track record of delivering in ambiguous environments, partnering closely with senior stakeholders on direction and priorities
  • High builder energy and learning velocity: stays current, experiments often, and thrives in a fast-moving space
  • Strong collaborator: builds trust and community, not just products.

Benefits

  • Thumbtack embraces diversity.
  • Equal opportunity workplace.
  • Reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
