Cloud Administrator
T5 Data Centers
• Administer, monitor, and optimize Azure cloud environments, ensuring adherence to security and governance best practices. • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and related frameworks. • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to support scalable, repeatable deployments. • Support DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated provisioning processes. • Integrate systems and applications using RESTful APIs and web services. • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Docker and LXD. • Maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and capacity management processes to ensure maximum uptime and performance. • Manage and maintain on-premises infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualization platforms. • Support workload migrations across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments. • Administer and troubleshoot type 1 hypervisors including Hyper V, XenServer, and HPE Morpheus. • Manage and support Linux systems, specifically Ubuntu and SUSE distributions. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant systems/cloud experience.
- Proven expertise in Azure cloud administration and security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), automation frameworks, and DevOps workflows.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services for integrating platforms and applications.
- Proven skillset with containerized workflows; Docker and LXD containers.
- Skilled in monitoring, alerting, and capacity management to ensure high up time.
- Experience providing 24x7 on going operational support in enterprise environments.
- Experience maintaining on-premises infrastructure and migrating workloads to cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
- Working knowledge of on-prem type-1 hypervisors; Hyper-V, Xen Server and HPE Morpheus.
- Experience with Ubuntu and Suse Linux
- Excellent business professional oral and written communication skills, required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues, management, outside contractors, and customers, required
