Solutions Engineer
KatRisk
• Develop a deep understanding of KatRisk’s products, solutions, and key differentiators • Act as the primary technical expert during the sales process, supporting sales efforts in prospect meetings, discovery sessions, product demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs). • Perform catastrophe model runs from initial data ingestion and configuration, to subsequent output analysis and results interpretation to support the sales motion. • Deliver compelling product demos and presentations that highlight the value of our models, underlying science, exposure data, loss calculation methodologies, financials prospectives (occurrence, aggregate, TVaR, etc.), and modeling platform capabilities. • Develop strong relationships with prospects and existing clients’ technical stakeholders, to share insights and feedback that drive product improvements based on customer needs. • Create technical documentation, guides, and resources as needed with the ability to run with RFI and RFP responses through internal collaboration. • Represent KatRisk and present to clients or at events both in person and virtually. • Stay current on industry developments in catastrophe modeling, climate risk, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a technical field in Climate/Earth Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Catastrophe Modeling experience and/or direct experience using other catastrophe modeling platforms.
- Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role with track record of running live demos and leading technical discovery sessions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and handle objections with logic.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for solving problems and exceeding customer expectations with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and events.
