• Define and roll out AI-assisted development practices within existing SDLC and delivery frameworks • Coordinate with IT, Security and other teams to ensure development tool usage aligns with Enterprise guidelines • Create and maintain starter kits, repo templates, and reference implementations for common AI delivery patterns with documentation and onboarding paths • Establish safe-by-default configurations and usage standards for AI coding assistants and agent tooling • Define instrumentation and reporting for AI-assisted delivery • Identify workflow friction points specifically related to AI tooling adoption • Drive adoption through hands-on enablement: playbooks, office hours, training sessions, and curated workflow patterns • Partner with delivery, security, and platform stakeholders to iterate on policies and paved-road patterns • Stay current on emerging AI-assisted engineering and AgentOps capabilities

• Use AI to produce quality content. You’ll write reusable prompts and skills that docs contributors can use to ensure their content meets Ably’s quality standards. • Define and uphold content standards. You'll help define what great looks like; from docs structure and style to making sure that PRs are always exceeding standards. You’ll leverage AI to check for technical accuracy, and make sure that content always assists developers in learning and succeeding with Ably in the fastest and easiest ways possible. • Build engaging educational content templates. You’ll lead by example by producing reference content that others can use as a pattern to write similar content. This will be in the format of templates and skills that team members can leverage. • Empower engineers to write great content. You'll coach and support engineering contributors to ensure that they’re always producing accurate, well-structured, developer-friendly content. • Champion effective AI use. You'll promote the use of AI for efficiency, while maintaining a sharp eye for quality ensuring content meets editorial standards, is technically accurate, and is free from AI-generated patterns that undermine trust or clarity. • Maintain and elevate the docs platform. You'll take responsibility for shaping the documentation platform's components, structure and tooling. This includes making sure content is logically structured, and easily navigable, and that it helps external developers understand Ably in new and exciting ways.

• Own the Developer Workflow Roadmap • Define and prioritize features that reduce time-to-first-commit and improve ongoing developer productivity • Conduct market research and gather feedback to understand developer needs, pain points, and workflows • Develop a roadmap that balances immediate improvements with longer-term investments in developer experience • Align priorities with company objectives and coordinate with adjacent product areas (Platform, Preview & Portfolio) • Drive improvements to our GitHub integration and expand support for external version control systems • Collaborate with engineering to enhance our CLI (Terminus), API, and build systems • Identify opportunities to improve local development environments and reduce reliance on full build loops • Engage directly with developers to understand how they work and what slows them down • Collaborate with User Research to conduct interviews, surveys, and usability studies • Translate qualitative feedback and quantitative data into clear product requirements • Use insights to iterate on features and continuously improve the developer experience • Work closely with engineering, design, and developer relations to ship high-quality features • Partner with customer support to identify pain points and resolve developer issues • Communicate product updates and roadmap to internal teams and external stakeholders • Coordinate with adjacent teams (Platform, Preview & Portfolio) on shared dependencies and integrations

• Produce high-quality technical video content: tutorials, demos, explainers, live coding sessions: the kind of content the AI community actually watches and shares. • Write technical blog posts, notebooks, and guides that showcase Opik in real-world agentic workflows. • Build creative technical demos that highlight use cases for evaluation, tracing, and observability. • Show up on social (X, LinkedIn, YouTube) as a genuine voice in the AI developer ecosystem. • Be active in the communities where our users live: Discord, Slack groups, Reddit, GitHub, etc. discussions. • Attend and speak at SF-based and national AI events (conferences, meetups, hackathons). • Identify and engage with influential developers and open source contributors. • Run or support technical workshops, paper readings, and community programming. • Surface developer sentiment and friction points back to Product and Engineering. • Be a voice of the community inside the company: what are developers actually struggling with?
