Site Inspector – Building Compliance
ORS Consulting (ORS)
• Assist Assigned Certifiers and Technical Advisors within the Building Compliance Team in carrying out inspections on sites as required • Photographic and written condition reporting • Carry out site inspections ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations 1997 as amended • Carrying out inspections against design drawings, details, specifications and approved technical submittals • Generating reports and reviewing with Project Leads • Planning and coordinating various inspections across multiple sites nationwide • Keeping a tracker up to date to show availability • Storing reports and photographic recording on cloud-based system • Briefing contractors of non-conformances or issues identified as part of inspection prior to leaving sites • Maintaining and building relationships with Project Teams • Monitoring quality assurance and quality control on sites • Additional work may include Clerk of Works Duties, site attendance and liaising with Building Control as required, coaching and mentoring staff
Job Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Control Act
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Control Regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Standards and Codes of Practice
- Ensure continuous professional development is undertaken to stay up to date with changes in the industry
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, onsite or within a consultancy
