Senior Sales Engineer

• Strategize with Sales and Partner teams to support qualified opportunities and provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle. • Lead technical and functional discovery workshops to understand customer and prospective needs. • Architect solution approaches aligned to customer requirements and scope implementation considerations. • Support customers across industries, including manufacturing and industrial organizations with complex ERP-driven product data. • Deliver compelling, consultative product demonstrations (live and recorded) tailored to business outcomes. • Articulate Inriver’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to executives and technical audiences. • Develop joint value propositions with Partners and support competitive positioning efforts. • Establish and manage trusted relationships with senior business leaders. • Support field marketing initiatives including webinars, conferences, and trade shows. • Provide structured feedback from the field to Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams. • Serve as a strategic advisor to customers, prospects, and partners.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Consultant
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent experience
- Deep expertise in PIM, DAM, MDM, or Digital Marketing ecosystems
- Strong understanding of modern data management and ecommerce system landscapes
- Experience with enterprise software, ecommerce platforms, CMS, and search/merchandising engines
- Proven experience in solution architecting, project scoping, and delivering high-impact product demonstrations
- Expert knowledge of information integration and information logistics
- Working knowledge of web development concepts
- Experience selling and/or implementing enterprise SaaS solutions
- Familiarity with demo methodologies such as Great Demo! or Demo2Win
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

• Own the Technical Side of the Sales Process • Partner closely with Account Executives to support opportunities from early discovery through close • Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customer goals, constraints, and success criteria • Conduct live product demonstrations and tailored technical presentations to showcase Spokeo’s offerings • Act as the primary technical point of contact for prospects during the evaluation process • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer use cases and business outcomes • Clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives • Address security, architecture, and integration questions with confidence and clarity • Recommend and design solutions that meet customer requirements while aligning with product capabilities • Support or lead proofs-of-concept (POC) to validate technical fit and demonstrate value • Contribute to technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires • Provide technical guidance that accelerates deal velocity and improves win rates • Enable sales teams with product knowledge, use cases, and competitive positioning • Share field feedback with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and improvements
• Leads efforts with Account Managers in promoting sales, securing orders, and building key technical lines in our business. • Responsible for calls on relevant accounts, consults with customers on product and system applications, develops marketing plans and strategies. • Keeps management informed of its successes. • Works with the Support engineers to ensure they are providing the technical product support needed by branches and customers. • Provides input to sales and marketing staff on customer needs and concerns regarding pricing, products, competition, procedures, and market potential.
