This individual will be considered the primary expert for all service activities and issues for large diesel engines product line. This Sr Project ​Mechanical Field Engineer of Large Diesel Engines will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle from the product design phase and various stages of the product life cycle to ensure service and technical support is consistent with the department and company philosophy. Specific Responsibilities - Actively participate in the product development process to ensure that the product can be serviced and repaired effectively and that considerations are made during the development cycle for serviceability and low cost of ownership. - Provide hands on resources during the development stages to learn the product and ensure product integrity and serviceability at release date. - Develop and implement special tools and equipment necessary to service the product. - In cooperation with the Technical Publications department, develop service literature, installation information, and other support documents that will provide a high level of service support. - Provide training for Rehlko associates as needed for installation and service support. - Assist the Service Training department in development of on-line and classroom training programs. • Collaborate closely with functional teams to design innovative toilet solutions for healthcare facilities. • Transform concept visuals into detailed designs, progressing from prototypes to final production-ready models. • Produce accurate and detailed 3D models using SolidWorks, generating drawings for manufacturing, prototyping, and marketing renders. • Utilize 3D printing and other prototyping methods to develop and test design concepts (knowledge of these technologies is useful but not essential). • Ensure designs meet functional, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements. • Liaise with manufacturers and internal teams to resolve any production or design issues. • Drive key new product projects forward within given target dates and budgets. • Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
