• Convey technical solutions to other engineers and to business personnel • Have a good understanding of multiple CAD packages and cross functional design implications • Capable of being the lead engineer involved in a cross functional team • Ability to drive cross functional project teams in solving technical problems and overcoming hurdles that may affect project timelines • Previous experience of releasing a product into a manufacturing production environment • Be considered a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in their field of competency • Represent Jabil Design Services in technical customer discussions/meetings • Work with Project Managers and Lead Design Engineer in the quoting process • Provide technical input to help identify and solve project risks that may affect overall project plans and schedules • Expected to support the development and utilization of processes for design/VAVE • At the appropriate process phase gates, provide a complete design package to be entered into our PDM system consisting of requirements and design documentation, databases, BOM’s, etc. • Provide complete VAVE proposal to be submitted to the customer consisting of detailed proposals, models/simulations/schematics, BOM’s etc. • Participate in all elements of design/VAVE engineering including design reviews and design verification, supply chain & supplier interaction, transfer to design/manufacturing • Mentor all levels Design Engineers, Technicians and ECAD designers • Provide onsite technical support for all manufacturing builds, including engineering prototypes, NPI & production releases • Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost effective • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred, or other Engineering Discipline is required
  • At least 6 years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing or Design role is required OR an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus
  • Customer Service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities Include: - Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements and carry out various tasks in order to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft. - Notify Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, extra manpower or technical assistance. - When at a field base, be responsible for the maintenance of all aircraft assigned to her/him reviewing stock levels and requisitioning spares as necessary to provide required repairs. Responsible for the safety and security of all company assets at field base. - Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, and personally certify on aircraft logs and related inspection and maintenance forms that work accomplished meets the requirements of the FAA, manufacturer and PHI Health. - Comply with entries in RAMCO, such as work packages, status sheets, removals and installs in physical structure. - Maintain close communication with Lead Mechanic and AMBS, and other agents as appropriate in order to ensure effective and timely job completion. - Maintain parts inventory and recommend level changes when necessary. - Maintain company provided special tools and ensure calibration is performed as scheduled. - Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned. The Successful Candidate Will Have: - High School diploma. - Hold an FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant - At least 2 years of Maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic - Possess basic skills in communications - Computer skills required. - Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift up to 100 pounds) drug screening and background screen. - For Mechanics in the PHI Roving Maintenance Team - Sheet metal repair and/or Avionics troubleshooting/repair skills - Must be able to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice during regularly scheduled hitch. - Must able to work night shifts where maintenance events dictate. This individual will be considered the primary expert for all service activities and issues for large diesel engines product line. This Sr Project ​Mechanical Field Engineer of Large Diesel Engines will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle from the product design phase and various stages of the product life cycle to ensure service and technical support is consistent with the department and company philosophy. Specific Responsibilities - Actively participate in the product development process to ensure that the product can be serviced and repaired effectively and that considerations are made during the development cycle for serviceability and low cost of ownership. - Provide hands on resources during the development stages to learn the product and ensure product integrity and serviceability at release date. - Develop and implement special tools and equipment necessary to service the product. - In cooperation with the Technical Publications department, develop service literature, installation information, and other support documents that will provide a high level of service support. - Provide training for Rehlko associates as needed for installation and service support. - Assist the Service Training department in development of on-line and classroom training programs. Provide support for the Training Department by assisting in training for customers at the factory and in the field. - Work with the Aftermarket Parts department to develop an initial factory service stock of replacement parts; develop a list of required parts for all levels of field service support including dealers and distributors. - Coordinate the procurement and release of special tools and equipment to ensure timely service repairs by Kohler customers. This may include a special tool loaner program. - Develop a methodology of release of software products used in the product line(s) and ensure a timely release of any software updates.
