Summer Intern Housing Program at Emory

• Applying engineering and business concepts to design and develop analytical models and statistical techniques for mission critical datasets. • Develop and implement KPI calculations, baselines, thresholds, and aggregations for time-series and event-based data. • Work with and analyze facility operations datasets, including maintenance logs, system hierarchies, sensor data, and industry standards. • Prototype and build reports/dashboards. • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate prototyping, data gathering, and test generation • Develop reusable analytics libraries. • Validate accuracy of analytical models and libraries using real-world data. • Document and maintain modules, components, and scripts for relevant software. • Contribute to developing and refining features in existing datasets to enable future AI & advance analytics.

• Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. • Support the tracking of project progress and help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. • Participate in project meetings and document key decisions and action items. • Help prepare project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and project updates. • Maintain project files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members. • Assist in communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates. • Help coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and project success. • Support the evaluation of automation solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and project objectives. • Assist in identifying and resolving project issues or conflicts.

• Understanding how high-density data centers manage heat loads through liquid and air-based cooling technologies. • Assisting in the design, testing, and evaluation of cutting-edge cooling technologies. • Participating in hands-on testing of cooling components and collecting and analyzing performance data. • Collaborating with engineering teams to review simulations and modeling techniques used in thermal performance assessments. • Conducting market research on trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in data center cooling. • Interacting with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to gain a comprehensive understanding of integrated cooling solutions. • Gaining insights into the data center industry, networking with industry experts, and developing technical and analytical skills.

• Assist with the development and testing of generative design and automation tools in Revit and related/associated platforms. • Support creation and refinement of scripts in Dynamo or Python to improve modeling workflows. • Collaborate with designers and engineers to identify opportunities for digital optimization across projects. • Help structure, organize, and maintain digital content libraries and model data standards. • Research and document new approaches in computational design, parametric modeling, and generative workflows. • Participate in coordination and design discussions to observe how digital tools influence project delivery.

• Convert existing Excel tools into reliable Python scripts or applications. • Translate formulas and macros from Excel into scalable code. • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand requirements and improve tool usability. • Identify and develop innovative solutions to improve workflows and address pain points. • Document scripts, workflows, and user guidelines for clarity and usability. • Design and implement automated tests for the developed scripts.
