Attorney, Sales Director

• Create territory-specific business plan to increase engagement and meet expected goals with Themis and UWorld brands and products • In conjunction with Supervisor, set strategy, goals and benchmarks for all bar review engagement & sales activities to execute yearly plan • Establish and maintain direct relationships with assigned law schools (particularly influencers and faculty/administrators involved with bar review and academic success), students and student groups • Regularly scheduled in-person visits, phone calls, workshops, webinars, emails and other written communications to and within assigned law schools • Recruit, train, support, and motivate teams of student campus representatives • Marketing and promotion of Company products & services to all law schools (particularly influencers and faculty/administrators involved with bar review and academic success), students and student groups, and other related organizations • Provide direct support and mentoring to student users of the bar review program • Demonstrate exceptional service to schools and students while working collaboratively with colleagues to meet individual and team goals • Maintains contact management system (CMS) records, including updated contact information, event tracking and campaign participation • Maintains knowledge of Company products and services and how they can be utilized for multiple purposes and audiences

- JD Required
- Bar licensure; we will also consider recent graduates sitting for their first bar exam/awaiting results.
- Some previous legal education and/or sales experience preferred

Role Description An Attorney II is the primary attorney assigned to a caseload defending 1st and 3rd party cases relating to the defense of personal injury lawsuits. Essential Job Functions: - Comprehensive review of new and transfer file assignments with initial evaluation letter to claims and service of initial discovery within 30 days of receipt of assignment. - Summarizing discovery responses and medical records within 30 days of receipt. - Taking and defending depositions of parties, lay witnesses, and expert witnesses and completion of deposition summaries within 20 days. - Law and motion: legal research; preparation of motions, oppositions and replies to motion; court appearance at law and motion. - Trial preparation, trial and posttrial motions including preparation of pretrial documents, motions in limine and oppositions thereto; all facets of a jury trial, trial motions and posttrial motions. - Other miscellaneous tasks as may be necessary to adequately defend the insured including assignments from managing and senior managing attorneys. Qualifications - Minimum: Requires a law degree and admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing. - Preferred: Requires a law degree from a state accredited or ABA accredited law school and admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing. - Minimum: 3+ years of insurance defense or related experience. Experience as the primary attorney defending personal injury lawsuits. 3+ insurance defense personal injury trials to verdict or equivalent litigation experience. - Preferred: 5+ years of insurance defense experience; Preferred 7+ insurance defense personal injury trials to verdict. - Minimum: Comprehensive knowledge of insurance, torts, evidence, civil procedure, and trial practice. Effective communication, persuasion and analytical skills. Requires considerable automobile travel, up to 20% of work time. Must meet established company standards regarding personal driving history and current license status to be eligible for position. Must be able to work independently with minimum direction and good organizational skills necessary to manage a caseload with exposures up to $150,000. - Preferred: Exceptional communication, use of persuasion and analytical skills.
