THE ROLE As a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you will be a key contributor in developing creative, scalable integration solutions that solve complex client challenges. You are curious by nature, constantly asking questions, seeking clarity, and digging deeper to understand both business needs and technical requirements. You leverage those insights to design and deliver thoughtful, API-led integration solutions that connect Salesforce with external systems. This role requires someone who can work independently while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders. You are confident in your expertise, enthusiastic in your approach, and focused on driving customer success. You will also play a client-facing role, clearly articulating your work, walking stakeholders through solutions, and demonstrating the value of what's been built both through presentations and conversations. RESPONSIBILITIES - Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft integration solutions - Build and maintain API-led architectures - Integrate Salesforce with external software, third-party applications, and platforms - Write clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage within a professional engineering environment (source control, CI/CD pipelines, and dev/stage/prod release cycles) - Build and enhance integrations with client and vendor APIs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance - Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, architecture, and implementation for Salesforce and integration projects - Utilize object-oriented programming principals and design patterns to develop scalable Salesforce and MuleSoft solutions - Develop custom Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, and Lightning Design System (LDS) where needed to support integrations - Perform data migration and transformation using Salesforce-approved tools and MuleSoft capabilities - Work closely with client stakeholders to design and manage complex workflows, validations, triggers, and process automation - Troubleshoot and resolve integration and application issues across environments - Create clear client-facing documentation, including solution design, “as-built” documentation, and user support materials - Remote/Telecommute position with the ability to travel up to 30% REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) - 3+ years of experience working as a Salesforce Developer in a consulting capacity - Hands-on experience across full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment - Deep experience in at least two Salesforce clouds (Datacloud, Core, Experience, and Industry Clouds) - Strong development experience using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Batch/Scheduled classes, and modern frameworks like Lightning Web Components (LWC) - Proven experience designing and building API integrations using MuleSoft, including REST/SOAP services and DataWeave transformations - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principals, integration patterns, and scalable system design - Experience working within formal SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) - Familiarity with DevOps and development tools such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and Salesforce DX - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical and organizational environments - Confident, highly communicative, and comfortable in client-facing environments, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a strong sense of ownership TruSummit Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
