Role Description Opening for a full-time Billings Analyst within the ES US Defense Company Billings Organization. Individual sought must be self-motivated, exhibit ability to work independently, and demonstrate strong team player skills. The Billings Organization is a fast-paced organization responsible for preparing in excess of 20,000 invoices annually totaling over $5B. This role will be conducted in a full-time remote format, with the individual working exclusively out of their home office or an alternate workplace. To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must reside within a 2-hour driving distance of our Nashua, NH offices. Applicants outside of this geographic area will not be considered. - Assist in reviewing and releasing invoices for Billers on a regular basis. - Has a thorough understanding of industry billing practices and represents the Billings organization with internal and external customers as needed. - Develop solutions to a variety of complex billing problems. - Assist in providing audit support as necessary. - Work with Billers to ensure billing with out-of-period costs are completed accurately. - Active representative of the core team by bringing forward issues and concerns, innovation, and ensuring company and department standards are adhered to. - Assist in supporting Billers by training, answering questions, and enhancing their understanding of the billing process. - Cross train in all analyst responsibilities and provide backup support as necessary. - Assist department management in adhoc requests as they arise. Qualifications - High School Diploma and four (4) years of work experience or Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of work experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Prior billing experience. - Experience in Oracle ERP is highly preferred. - The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. - The ability to work independently. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will own key general ledger functions and play an integral part in the month-end close process. The position will also support healthcare revenue cycle accounting, including claims billing analysis and payment reconciliations. This role offers significant growth potential as the company continues to expand. What will you do? - Prepare and record month-end accruals, commissions, bonuses, and provider payment entries. - Own prepaid expense schedules and complete monthly reconciliations. - Record and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, maintaining accurate documentation. - Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. - Collaborate with the Cash Application team to ensure accurate recording of receivables and timely resolution of open transactions prior to close. - Review and analyze healthcare claims billing activity to ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounts receivable recording. - Investigate billing discrepancies by reviewing clearinghouse reports and payer communications. - Retrieve and analyze Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) to reconcile payments, contractual adjustments, denials, and outstanding balances. - Partner with Revenue Cycle, Billing, and Cash Application teams to resolve variances between claims submitted, payments received, and recorded revenue. - Support accounts payable operations, including managing the AP inbox and assisting with related tasks as needed. - Partner with Procurement to ensure proper expense coding and provide accounting guidance as needed. - Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses for management reporting. - Assist with audit and SOX compliance by preparing required schedules and documentation. - Support foreign currency accounting, including inter-company and international transactions. - Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities. - Assist with special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.
