• Manage and support a small team of 1-2 Payroll Specialists, including training, performance feedback, and day-to-day guidance • Set up new businesses and help transition existing businesses onto the payroll platform • Support client compliance, including employer registration, unemployment insurance, tax filing, and payroll audits • Administration of payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly basis • Management of payroll-related employee benefits, pension, and tax-free reimbursements • Ad-hoc related projects such as prior period quarterly filings, employer retention credits, and research and development credits • Maintain strong client relationships while building and identifying new opportunities for department growth • Conduct research related to current tax law and new legislation • Assisting Client Services team with payroll departmentalization, chart of accounts mapping, and payroll reconciliation-related inquiries • Communicating with clients on tax-related matters and notices, including any changes in employee salaries and other payroll-related inquiries
• Prepare accurate, accrual-basis financial statements • Perform detailed reconciliations for bank, credit card, merchant service, and loan accounts • Apply strong financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making • Manage multiple client onboarding projects across various industries • Follow structured project plans aligned with client needs and timelines • Deliver high-quality service that is both timely and within scope • Utilize cloud-based accounting platforms and integrated tools to streamline processes and drive results
• Manage client relationships weekly and monthly • Is the primary point of contact for Bookkeeper360 clients • Interact with business owners, providing them monthly financial reviews, or, as needed by the client • Must have a sense of urgency to address tight deadlines with a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger, month-end close functions, and financial reporting • Manage and lead 1-3 bookkeepers in maintaining the transactional bookkeeping tasks on the accounts, such as AP/AR, categorizing expenses, reconciliations, etc. • Effectively delegate and review the work assigned to your team of bookkeepers to ensure promptness and accuracy • Reconcile tax returns to books and records • Deliver exceptional service on time and on budget • Complete any back work projects in an efficient, timely manner • Routinely communicate with your manager relating to financial close, accounting issues, and deliverables • Leverage multiple cloud-based accounting systems and integrated add-ons to provide accounting services for our clients • Set up and manage cloud technology integrations • Review workflow and business operations, and make technology and app recommendations to increase efficiencies
