Role Description We are seeking a passionate and experienced Engineering Lead to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in building our Integrations Platform. As an Engineering Lead, you will own the systems that connect our platform with external partners, data sources, and internal services - enabling seamless, secure, and scalable data exchange. You will lead the design and development of integration architecture, including robust APIs, data pipelines, and partner integrations, while helping guide technical direction in collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a backend-leaning, hands-on leadership role, where you’ll spend approximately: - 80% of your time building - 20% leading and coordinating the engineering team You’ll be responsible for setting technical direction, unblocking the team, and ensuring high-quality execution while remaining deeply embedded in the code. What You'll Do - Integrations & Platform Ownership: Lead the design and development of our integrations platform, including APIs, data pipelines, and third-party system integrations (e.g., EHRs, partner systems, internal services). - Technical Leadership: Drive the architecture and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable integration systems. Establish best practices for API design, data modeling, and system interoperability. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, design, operations, and external stakeholders to translate integration requirements into technical solutions. Collaborate across US and India-based engineering teams to ensure alignment and execution. - System Reliability & Performance: Own the performance, monitoring, and reliability of integration systems. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and failure points. - User & Partner Experience: Improve the experience for both internal teams and external partners by building intuitive, well-documented, and reliable integration workflows and tooling. - Architecture & Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while setting standards for the team. Contribute directly to critical parts of the system. - Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor engineers and foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Prepare to transition into a full-time Engineering Manager role within 6–9 months. - Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices in distributed systems, APIs, and data integration. Continuously improve system scalability, security, and maintainability. • Develop and maintain custom Agentforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), and Flow, following Salesforce best practices. • Create and optimize dialog flows, prompt templates, skills, and handoff logic using Agentforce's configuration tools and APIs. • Integrate Agentforce with internal systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and Salesforce Connect. • Implement platform-level features such as custom metadata types, platform events, and asynchronous processing (Queueable, Batch Apex) to support scalable solutions. • Ensure adherence to Salesforce security model, sharing rules, and compliance standards, including HIPAA. • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, technical design, and code reviews. • Own technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis of conversational failures or system errors. • Implement analytics and logging strategies to monitor bot performance and user satisfaction. • Support DevOps practices including SFDX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.
